Ingame FMScout09 is a real-time scouting (plus editing) utility for Sports Interactive's Football Manager 2009. It allows users to search within the current game database to see certain information about a number of entities such as player and staff. The scout can query the database using a number of different arguments and can display in a view or in a profile page various kind of information about the current entity.
The programming language used is C# .NET.

INSTRUCTIONS:
* Run Football Manager 2009 with Patch 9.1.0, 9.2.0 or 9.3.0 installed (maybe 9.0.0 too).
* Load your game or start a new one.
* ALT + TAB to the desktop and run the scout.
* Click Load FM2009.
If all done properly, the fields should get enabled. You can reload as many times as you wish.
Don't try to run the scout from within the archive (zip). Make sure to extract the contents of the downloaded file first, otherwise it will trigger an error.
NOTE:
- To see all our own players leave sale value to zero, it will also search for players with sale value -1 (your own for example)
- The features that edit the game (such as the heal button) are absolutely at your own risk! Make sure you keep a copy of your saved game before you attempt to edit anything!

dont run the exe from the rar file. extract all the contents on a folder (exe + dlls), then run it.

Doesnt run for me either. No errors, just doesnt load up when I click the button.
I've extracted the file, on the desktop with all the other files and nothing!

hmm ok...firstly try downloading again, fixed some minor issues such as searching by nickname and a crash on the clear buttons.
Secondly to help you i have noticed that sometimes this happens and it is solved by closing the scout and running it again.
It's still in beta, so sorry if you get any weird errors.
If you extract the files on a folder which contains previous files, make sure you overwrite the dll's too.

Progess made.
I download the previous version, and nothing happened with that either for me. So, had a looky around the other editors and it was advised to update the Microsoft Framework. Did that to 3.5, and now both versions of FMScout09 load up.
However. I'm not getting any search results as yet.

Right. Not getting any search results. When I click player profile, the player that I'm currently looking at on my game appears with details. It's like I'm getting there bit by bit, something will click soon enough - hopefully!

yea it seems to work for me perfectly, the only thing that isn't working is when i search for wonder staff but i don't know if this is b/c its WSM or because my game has not wonderstaff

sale value is read from the game. make sure you have the correct currency. its by default in euros.
wonderstaff displays all staff with PA over 170. works fine for FM...

as far as im aware new version of fm uses a different approach for selling players. sale values are not as exact but they can vary easily.

i have confirmed there is a bug with this version on the search filters for age, ca, pa and attributes for players. please use v0.99 until i release next version.

This thing needs a function to search for player/coaches... the board coach limit is annoying, and player coaches is apparently the only way around it.

I can't really see how it can be difficult, really. All it needs to do is search through all players and through all staff and then cross-check unique IDs, right?

No, a 9.3.0 compatible version will be out soon. I have a beta of it and it's great, but there are some things to be finalized before the official release.

the players i saved as shortlist does not appear when i import in in FM...only my own players.
