The start of the new year brought some much needed space in between games after we were eliminated from the FA Cup. Unfortunately that hasn't translated into a strong run of games and we're slowly running out of time before the end of league play. We finished the month 1-3-1 and have dropped one point out of a playoff spot into 6th place.
The end of the month also brought an end to our FA Trophy run; losing a tough game away to BSP side Luton. As usual, when I'm significantly outclassed I'd rather lose a game outright instead of coming fairly close. We went into the half tied at 1, but we surrendered the back end of a Tom Craddock brace to seal the loss.
With 13 league games and no other distractions remaining, the focus shifts solely toward improving our league standing. 1st place and automatic promotion lies 8 points ahead of us and as mentioned earlier, we are only 1 point shy of a playoff spot.
