Online clash of titans..

Well you might of heard of this, but this blog is the story of an online game, between me, Dusan, and Red.

Me - Manchester United
Dusan - Arsenal
Red - Chelsea

Red would join on later in the game due to him being busy at the start of gameplay, so after pre-season. Due to the speed we will be playing I will not be recording it game by game, and I will be doing it from my point of view. But with my budget of 53 million and a equally massive wage budget, I would / will try to keep up with both of them...

Background

Start

well I started with a review of my squad which made me ready to sell a few players including nani, and loan players thatwere currently on the fringes. In all Manchester United lacked a replacement for target man berbatov and the left wing position did not have a excellent LM, and the defense was the weakest position in depth.

So I set 3 main targets:

Cardozo - Benfica - he is a striker in his prime, and is possle to become the striker berbatov never became, I opted to unsettle the striker due to his standard and importance to benfica



David Luiz - Benfica - another benfica player whih gives more reason to unsettle the above player. I had a previous season at benfica which is a main reason behind these targets. He is a young brazilian center back who has the potential to have an excellent partnership with Evans after vidic and ferdinand.



Vukčević - Sporting C.P - he has a wealth of ability and can bring that natural Left winger ability to my squad, and like David Luiz he still has his best years in front of him



The pre-season for me began with a 3-0 win against my reserves, then I compressed the file so that red could host it the following day due to my 2 i.p's problem...

with pre-season fairly succesfull with undefeated results includig agaist sporting c.p, with the new signings impressing, and building up momentum going into the community sheild game

Transfers July



Then it came to the community shield, all players where ring rusty, as me and red collided, the opening 20 mins I managed to have a edge with 2 clear cut chance not put away, then rio ferdinand hit the bar, and I piled on the pressure, then ivanovic tok a shot which kusuzack has covered, but it ok a massive deflection and chelsea went 1-0 up. THe rest of the game became more even, with rooney missing a chance when the keeper was way out of his box, and both sides missed 1 clear cut chance each.It ended 1-0 to chelsea, but it meant that manchester united would not be a stepover. Red would probably like to mention that riquelme was injured, but for me van der sar was as well...



The first game of the EPL began wih me facing man city away this was a tough first match but best to be at the start of the season. It began with me and city testing both keepers, but gradualy I got the edge and piled on pressure shortly before the break, Rio my new captain scored from a Vucevic corner, I then managed to hold the game for 20 more mins, which left me top of the table.





Dusan & Red



Red's defeat gave me hope, that the undefeated can be beaten, and with dusan not online yet, I had to keep the good performances up.

Then I beat stoke at home 4-0, which was a walk in the park, keeping u pressure, going into the arsenal game

then red sold malouda, and bought young which was worrying, but dusan then informed, me of he can't play in this game, and arsene wenger retook the reigns, I also signed young greek cb from olympiakos Kyriakos Papadopoulos





I was never behind which tells you something but hey I don't mind drawing against them, but it did close the gap between me and red to 1 point, which drew importance on keeping constistent and being able to beat red

Red then struggled to overcome bolton scoring 3 in the last 1/4 of the match at home, whereas I comftable beat pompey away 1-2, this set up the firs leagu clash of me and red, and perhaps revenge for earlyier on?

GET IN!!! It was a match that did not dissapoint, I more-or-less dominated the midfield using carick and fletcher which was intialy in place for riquelme but he started on the bench, the first goal came from carrick playing a excellent ball over terry and rooney latched onto it and smashed it past Cech, the game was still level afte this but I still had the edge due to my midfield prowess, Red changed his tactics which made my threats come from wing play rater than centeral. Then in the 93rd min Riquelme lined up a free-kick just outside the box, and he hit the post, phew
