Genie 10 RC 2 - Bug Tracker

This post is going to change as soon as people start posting problems after using RC 2!! PLEASE be careful that the bugs you are posting are for RC 2 and NOT RC 1!!

How to submit your problems:

- Provide a screenshot or text of the error message or problem
- Upload your savegame with the problem somewhere (FileFront, RapidShare, etc)
- Provide link to your uploaded savegame
- Give other details such as OS and FM version (optional)

with the new RC2 version I have this prob: in each of the lists, when I click on one of the elements, I receive the error u can see in the image.

i.e. if in the Players List I click on the name of Kakà for see the Genie's schedules about he, I can't open it and receive the error.

it worked great for a while but now everyplayers info look like this




i can see all values until i try to watch one in the playerinfo screen
then it looks like above

Any idea what the problem is? My roomy runs XP and has no problems. I run Vista. Could that be the problem?

I get this error when i click on a player or staff.

I run Windows 7

Got the same problem, an error that says "Can't allocate the DIB handle".

At first, everything worked perfect (both the first version and RC2), then I uploaded some megapacks with faces and logos. Had to make some changes in "Preferences" -> "Display and Sound", then I ticked the check box on the page called "Always Reload Skin on Confirm" and un-ticked the box saying "Use Skin Cache". Maybe that is the reason for the error?

I use Vista..

Anyways, thanks for great scout Eugene! Used it since the first version.

The "can't allocate the DIB handle" error, can be solved with restarting the computer.

The 'cant allocate DIB handle' is solved when you restart the PC, but then the next time you start it up the problem's back. Is there a permanent fix to this problem?

My fonts seems to be have corrupted somehow. Any suggestions how to fix them?

I'm Having this problem......i'm desperate to continue my game but i don't wanna continue without scout!!

i have the same problem! i cant click on players or clubs..Im starting to get annoyed about all these bugs

Don't use it mate if it annoys you. The author of the program is not obliged to please every one out there. Remember it's a free program and what we do here is to try and organize your feedback related to problems that occur by using it, in order to help the author track those problems down and make it easier for him to fix them for the final version; whenever that version may come out.

So, if you can't afford getting problems, try the earlier RC 1 version or another utility.


@ the rest people asking for desperate help:

There probably won't be a new version before winter patch (10.2), so the problems of RC 2 will stay around for a while.

I'm running XP same thing happening my save game too... I have a massive game (51-117) and this happened first day... I cannot send the save game but it easly testable by you...

i have the same problem, and am running Vista, latest update via Steam....

help please!

I´m using Windows 7 and FMGENIE RC2;
I started a new season - 29th of June - when they add the new young players in every team, saved the game and when loading it in FM GENIE SCOUT 10 RC 2 an error appeared:
error loading entity number:185
file position: 1470560
database version 1356
Club data seems to be currupt

The game works 100%
