# Gurdit : There is a lot of love for football here in India. Unfortunately, the game of cricket is very big here, and it dwarfs all other sports. Some cricketers are treated on par with big celebrities like actors, etc.
Some parts of India (states like West Bengal and Kerala) are very passionate. We have an Indian League, but generally, the quality of the players is not as high as other places. Indian football is in a nascent stage and desperately needs infrastructure and financial support.
As far as following international football is concerned, India is huge! I guess Manchester United is the most loved team here, but there are also a lot of followers of Liverpool and Arsenal. Since the population of India is very high, even though a portion of this population follows football, in terms of numbers, it's very high.
