My name is Peter and I have just joined the site. I live in Swansea and am a Supporter of the Swans and am looking forward to the new Season. I am probably one of the Senior Members of the site being 72 in October. Hope you do not mind an oldie joining you.

For many many years I have played and enjoyed Championship Manager and it seems that thewre will not be another version issued for the PC I have decided to give FM a try as I enjoy Sports Simulation Games.

Hi Peter and welcome!

It's an honor to have you on board, and I'm actually shocked to know Football Manager attracts oldies aged 50+.

We'll be preparing a massive support section for the next fmscout.com version to go live a month from now. Any help you might need please feel free to ask away in the forums.

I do hope you'll enjoy using the site, even though it currently has mistakes here and there. It should get much better with the new arrangement, that's a promise.
I'm also looking forward to your next posts.

Mark: by the time I visit you, you'll be like ancient =P
Stam: if things go well, I'll still be the same old crazy Stam
Mark: as in crazy inventive energetic or as in crazy senile and forgetful?
Stam: wtf mate, are you planning to visit me when you'll be 70? lol

Thanks for the welcome Guys. I can assure you that it is true - I will be 72 in October. I have been Married for 44 years next Month I am obviously retired and so have plenty of spare time.

I started playing CM in the late 1990's and always picked a Team in to lower leagues to manage and would change the names of 4 Players to those of my 2 Grandon's and 2 Great-Grandson's but did not change any other details. The highlight was holding Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at home whilst Managing Hastings United - we were hammered 6-0 in the replay.

I am looking round for FM 2011 and will hopefully begin playing soon.
