fm12 extremely slow suddenly - mac os

i've been playing fm12 on my mac for over a month without any problem.
Suddenly today it became really slow.
The problem is when changing screen like between news and squad, or from and to a player profile.
match speed as well as any other process seems to be ok.
another weird thing is that if i select the News by clicking on the title it's ok but if i press spacebar i have to wait about a minute to go to next unread.
If anybody has any idea i would be grateful

no but seriously, nothing else on pc is slow? pc is clean otherwise? no probs?
then have u tried re-installing FM? usually could be the case, otherwise try to defrag and such through steam. should be an option somewhere for that.

I had the same problem with FM running slower for each season but in my case the problem were that I had saved alot of news as Notes... as soon as they were deleted the game was back in full speed... cannot explain why but it helped me...

Get a pc!! Apple use the same components then rip you off for design and a flawed os

On your start screen (in the game) there´s a menu called ´notebook´
There you will find all the news you have chosen to: "save as note" during your game... I had like 100 or so and I just had to mark each one and then click delete... it took awhile but as I said it really helped me and my game was back in full speed...
