Manchester United

I support Manchester United. I have picked them because of this and the youth players they have excites me. I look forward to seeing how good they get. I'm looking forward to this a lot. I might do another story at the same time as this one if anyone would like to recommend me a team.

Board Target - Title Challenge
My Target - Same, wan't to be leading the title race.

Transfer Budget - 17 Million

Might sign some players, they will all be youth though. Mainly, looking for a CM.

Will probably go for a 4-4-2 formation then, 4-3-3 will be my back up.

Hope everyone enjoys reading!

First Signing

With one of my formation being 4-3-3, I thought an extra signing in the midfield would be useful. 3.2 million was spent on this player.

Community Shield Final

My team smashed their oppenents in the friendly games. So I had confidence going into this game.

Lost. But on penalties so come on, it's not that bad to lose on penalties. But my oppenents were Man City, so yeah I would of liked to have won the game.

Both teams did well, could of been 2-1 or 1-2 easily.

Try sign Felipe Anderson who is a brilliant prospect in the middle, and Sime Vrsaljko, who is a complete beast at right back. Both are young and shouldnt cost you too much!!

I have signed Felipe Anderson before, does he not go for much? I'm sure I remember spending a lot on him, but I don't know if I need another CM. And you just reminded me about Vrsaljko, shame he has gone to Newcastle. He's amazing.

Group C:

Should be an easy group.

September Update

Fulham (A) 1-2 W
Villarreal (H) 1-2 L (European Champions Cup)
Newcastle (H) 0-0 D
Wolves (A) 3-2 L (League Cup)
Wigan (A) 1-2 W
Otelul (A) 1-2 W (European Champions Cup) (How did they score? Fletcher own goal)

Dissapointing start to the European Champions Cup losing to Villarreal.

I was gutted about the Wolves result. I thought this is the chance to include some of the youth talents, so I included players like Pogba and Welbeck. I thought I would give Lindegaard a chance in goal just to see how well he did. Wolves had 3 shots on target and they all wen't in. He got a very low rating, and to make things more frustrating they scored in the 93rd minute.

So I probably won't play Lindegaard again for a while.

In one of my old Man United seasons I signed Svenson & Henrikson from Rosenborg at the start of the first season and played 4-3-3, one was a ball winning midfielder the other a box-to-box and I played them both with Giggs as a deep lying playmaker. They ripped it apart! I always sign them together when I buy them and they have never let me down when playing together! So maybe sign Svenson aswell and set them both as backup and put them in your reserves until they get the opportunity to step up?

That's just my opinion from experience though...

Yeah I will look at him its just that I have a lot of CM's so I don't know if I would sign him. Thanks for the suggestion though.

From Rosenborg? Interesting signing considering you’re playing United. Is it a long term signing or competing for first team this season? Im not judging in any ways :) I like it. Not every signing have to be a super player.

October Update

Bolton (A) 3-0 L
Arsenal (H) 5-1 W
Lille (A) 0-0 D
Norwich (H) 7-0 W
West Brom (A) 0-2

Starting with the 3-0 loss against Bolton I was worried, but thrashing Arsenal 5-1 got my team morale very high. Then, the 7-0 win against Norwich was a very impressive display.

Negative thing is that I'm not doing well enough in the group stages for the European Champions Cup. 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss so far, I think in the next and final 3 games I will have to win.

Well he looked good and was fairly cheap. Only a 17 million budget I could sign anyone world class. Another reason I signed him was because he could play as a CAM as well playing CM. I was going to play the 4-2-3-1 formation but I ended up playing 4-3-2-1. But he is doing well at the moment, and if he can improve in the future, he should be amazing.

November Update

Lille (H) 3-1 W
Stoke (A) 3-0 L
QPR (H) 4-0 W
Villarreal (A) 1-0 L
Liverpool (A) 0-1 W

So it's been a win then lose, win then lose month. Seems very strange when I just get a random 3-0 thrashing by Stoke just like last month against Bolton, I'm not playing a full youth team or anything, just another game but I lose.

I'm at the top of the table. Me, Chelsea and Tottenham are all very close at the top.

Out Of The European Champions Cup

Not good enough...

So out of this competition. Not good enough, I wanted to get to at at least the Semi-Finals.
