Southampton 6-0 Southampton Reserves

Tadanari Lee (3) (Southampton)

Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)

Adam Lallana (Southampton)

Billy Sharp (Southampton)
Very happy with this result, but also slightly concerned that my reserves are that bad. Wasn't even really my full first team, with Lambert sitting out as well as a couple other key players.
Southampton 2-3 Feyenoord

Sekou Cisse (2) (Feyenoord)

Tony Trindade de Vilhena (Feyenoord)

Luke Shaw (Southampton)

Rickie Lambert (Pen) (Southampton)
Not a bad result because Feyenoord are a top Dutch team. Again, not a full strength squad but I brought some of our better players on a HT e.g. Rickie Lambert/Adam Lallana
Southampton 3-1 Lille

Franck Beria (o.g) (Southampton)

Hal Robson-Kanu (Southampton)

Billy Sharp (M/P) (Southampton)

Mauro Cetto (o.g) (Southampton)

Ronny Rodelin (Lille)
Another strong foreign team, this time from France. Also, a good win after former French champions Lille sort of gave up against us after going 1-0 down due to a sloppy own goal. To be fair, we put out a strong team and Lille didn't.
Southampton 3-1 Burnley

Jose Fonte (Southampton)

Adam Lallana (2) (Southampton)

Michael Duff (Burnley)
Average performance but we dominated the game. Annoyingly, Jay Rodriguez picked up a knock but it should heal up in a couple of days.
Southampton 2-3 Genk (AET)

Dean Hammond (Southampton)

Rickie Lambert (Southampton)

Danny Lebrun (Genk)

Jelle Vossen (Genk)

Fabian Camus (Genk)
A very frustrating match, after leading for basically the whole game, twenty minutes left and Genk score twice in the space of quarter of an hour. Then, with three minutes left of extra time, Genk score the winner. Also, Wotherspoon got injured in the game but it has healed quickly.
Crawley Town 1-4 Southampton

Billy Sharp (Pen) (Southampton)

Rickie Lambert (Southampton)

German Re (Southampton)

Sergio Torres (Pen) (Crawley)

Marc Albrighton (Southampton)
Easy win against easy opposition, job done.
Eastleigh 1-5 Southampton

Danny Seabourne (Southampton)

German Re (Southampton)

Steve De Ridder (2) (Southampton)

Dan Harding (Southampton)

Mal Morris (Pen) (Eastleigh)
Annoyingly conceded a penalty which we shouldn't have done against a Blue Square South team. Still, standard, easy win but could and probably should have scored more, considering the amount of chances we had (23), which is a little worrying.
Grosseto 0-4 Southampton

Jack Cork (Southampton)

Alessandro Del Piero (Southampton)

Adam Lallana (2) (Southampton)
Standard win and glad we finally didn't concede. Good show from the lads and a good turnaround in the second half when I completely switched the team.
Torino 1-2 Southampton

Davide Di Bartolomeo (Torino)

Adam Lallana (Southampton)

Rickie Lambert (Southampton)

Steve De Ridder (Southampton)
Disappointing performance, especially as De Ridder got sent off. We came from behind and had to score two late goals to win it.
AlbinoLeffe 1-3 Southampton

Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)

Jos Hooiveld (Southampton)

Morgan Schneiderlin (Pen) (Southampton)

Alessio Marino (AlbinoLeffe)
Average performance but again, a lot of wasted chances, this time ten shots off target, with three on, which were the goals. Disappointed so there is room for improvement!
