While there is no official announcement regarding the Football Manager Handheld 2013 release date, we can surely put it before Christmas. In other words, FM 2013 and FMH 2013 are not expected to launch on the same day.

About what new features to expect, it's a common secret that a lot of work is put into improving its simulation aiming to make the game more realistic and intelligent.
There's a certain question we get a lot about the handheld editions of the game; more like a complain to be honest, especially for the iPad. FMH is quite simple and feels less interesting compared to its bigger brother. Some people have repeatedly requested to see FMH being closer to the PC / Mac game. The answer? Not going to happen.

Marc Vaughan - head of Handheld Development at Sports Interactive - explained he doesn't ever want FMH to become a clone of the PC / Mac game, as they're very different platforms and so they need different styles. The PC / Mac game is a full fat simulation, while FMH is faster and friendlier in a lot of ways which suits handheld platforms best.

iPad 3 surely could handle a full flat simulation?
This isn't possible due to the misleading processing power that the marketing section of all tablet / phone companies do to make their devices seem comparable to PC. Also the handheld game is meant to be on the go and fast to make use of the portable abilities of the iPad (imagine being on the bus playing FM, you wouldn't get much done by the time you have to get off).
If you are at home though and on WiFi you could control your computer using an app (e.g. TeamViewer).

Will the new game work on PSP or just PS VITA?
If the game is made for PSP this year, we believe it should work on both PSP and PS Vita, but most likely without native PS Vita support. However, there's a chance (and some rumors) we won't see FMH13 coming out for PSP.
