was just having some problems with using fmm 2.25 along with football manager 2008. i am in regional north and trying to improve players in the "playing" menu. but after a little while the players stats go back to what they were in the first place, maybe even worse. i think this is becuase i havent altered anything else in the other menus.
for instance, i would give a defender really high numbers for marking, tackling ect. but after a while alot of the other stats would reduce to 1 out of 120, which annoys me because im constantly trying to make my players better on fmm.
any help with this problem would be great! cheers guys!

Try changing players CA and PA

probs when you changed the stats the players PA went up. For Instance:
To start with: PA=123 and CA = 127
You change stats:
PA=170 and CA= 127
Then, your play starts to fulfill potential, so his stats go back close to what they were.
So just change PA.

so what do i do? change potential abilty up or down? ive moved PA to 200 and CA to 1, would that work atall, or would it not?

well basically that eould be good for a youngster cos it would mean they improved to 200X what they are now and will improve over a period of time, but it means their stats are rubbish now. best would be to put both at 200.

and darkwizard- i dunno about fmm09 but on 08 you just go onto the main screen of the player and chance current abilitty and potential ability, and it is probs the same this year.

I never mess with PA, takes a bit of the fun away from trying to find good players, i change the CA though to something near PA, am in my 4th season and just scouted the home nations, found a striker called Glenn McCaul, PA is 198! getting bored though so might start a new game.
