I'm looking for a team with a decent transfer budget, low expectations and lots of room to grow, sorta like MAN CITY in 08 ( that was the life)

Depends what league youre after, but if its the prem...

Personally Sunderland are a great team to use. After the first season the transfer budget will be pretty reasonable, and the squad is pretty solid throughout, not too many weak areas.

well you can try Aston Villa, I'm playing with them right now...

Decent squad, you don't need to buy anyone but you can, after a while i got my transfer budget to 10m so you can buy couple of good youngsters...and with good tactic and smart playing you can get into champions league of even a title challenge, but if they are to good for you Sunderland is a great choice, also Wolves if you like challenge...cheers

You can take Genoa if you like Italian football, very good team needs less additions and can hit for the title there!

I'd take Toulouse, if I'm ever to try the French league. Some top class players already there.
I agree with Giorgos regarding the Italian challenge.

After I'm done with my Las Palmas game (not sure when), I'll be trying my yearly Conference league start up (England of course). It's quite hard, but the feeling of success is more intense.

Mark: by the time I visit you, you'll be like ancient =P
Stam: if things go well, I'll still be the same old crazy Stam
Mark: as in crazy inventive energetic or as in crazy senile and forgetful?
Stam: wtf mate, are you planning to visit me when you'll be 70? lol

I'd try Hull as they have a really low expectation. Their media prediction is 20th so its a challenge to stay up.

If your wanting lower league with alot of room to grow, try Southampton, or Notts. Both have good budgets that grow very well. Notts has a owner who keeps adding money during the season so i wound up with a transfer budget of 5.9mil(USD) even as a CCL2 team. I don't play Premier so have no recommendations there. I was able to take Southampton from CCL1 to Premier in 2 seasons. Good Luck

I started a game with Leverkusen, where the challenge for me was to take the championship and the Europa League. I have succeded in the first and now I am focusing on the second aim. It is a strong team, almost full in every line, with home-grown players, and with some additions you can take the championship easily, since Van Gal, gathers in FC Bayern every galkeeper available!!! In my game he signed Benaglio, Carrizo, Weidenfeller, Hildebrand and also has Rensing and Butt...

I have never played the spanish league, since I cannot register the players in the b/c teams and at the same time have them eligible to play in the first team, so if anyone can send me a pm to help me, I thank him in advance.

I agree with the aforementioned teams (especially to promote Newcastle and QPR), however I want to add Sampdoria and Napoli from Italian football and Dortmund along with Stuttgart from the German, besides Leverkusen. As far as the EPL is concerned, as a challenge you can also manage West Ham and Aston Villa, since Totenham and Man City are strong enough to challenge for the title even with no additions at all.

Have a look at taking charge of Crewe, they are a side which have just dropped into the the CCL2 and are looking to battle out. I am having a good time at the moment trying to get them into the Prem and its looking good this season. The team is pretty good to start, a few clever frees and selling of players and you should be on your way. Very challenging once you reach the Championship too!:D

Chester City, my team are a real challenge as your starting in non-league football with a 25 point deduction, several poor players on high wages (for that level) the vast majority of which you cannot sell, to anyone, even for free. As well as a low wage budget & no transfer budget at all.

Sunderland, and with €2M you can buy Liedson and he'll be the best scorer on England
