Genie Scout 22 "g" edition now free!

As of October 3rd, the special "g" edition of Genie Scout is available for free! Normally this edition requires a license and is only given to Eugene's direct supporters who donate to keep the development of this brilliant tool alive.
Genie Scout 22g has no ads and includes some extra features, such as GS STATS, search by role rating and probability of development.

No.

Can I use it to edit attributes and other details?
No. However, we exclusively release a real time editor:

FMS Editor 22

How to run GS22

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2022 and load your saved game.

Launch Genie Scout 22 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to Eugene to get the "g" edition

As usual, Genie Scout 22 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads.

The "g" edition has no ads and includes a few minor extra features.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Eugene.

Genie Scout 22g Explained

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link. Another email containing the key file might take a while though. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

IMPORTANT:
Donations are handled by Eugene. He will deliver the ad-free version to you after donation.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, Eugene fixed most bugs that came to surface. As a result, the public edition should be reasonably stable from its very first version.

Should you find a bug, please report it to the Genie Scout forum.
Read this before submitting any bugs!

Known issue: Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

Hi all!
Having the same probleme as @Atarak: SLF-files just not showing in the shortlist folder. Anybody know a fix or a work-around?

Genie Scout can't find my game... it says make sure I am using FM 2022 22.0.1 and higher. My FM was downloaded today (just bought it) version is 22.2.0 (me v22.3.0.0). So all looks fine? Any advice at all? Thanks

I donated last week yet the key file still hasn't come through. Anyone else had this problem? I've sent multiple emails to Eugene but no response.

Stiill no fix for the shortlist bug , last year i donate to this. no point to get genie if need FMRTE to do the "job" .

Anyone know how to export a shortlist's current view with all columns included? When I try to export to CSV, it only exports certain columns and doesn't seem to respect the current view layout I've created.

I have now downloaded and installed FM Geniue Scout 22 (and all the updated versions).
My problem is that I can't find "probability of development (PD)". Has this feature been excluded?
I found this feature in FM Genius Scout from earlier years.

@mattias333 I actually managed to fix the problem. Uninstall the genie scout, go to the installation folder and delete it, install it again and should work! It worked for me

Ah gutted. Still the same problems for me as per ysterdays update. Thought todays update would solve it. Sadly still getting the out of bounds message and access violation and wont load up. Gutted! Even as administrator Anyone else the same? For clarity BUild 1207 and 1208 have done the same errors for me. No problems with any of the previous updates

I can't run installer? Error of non permission to access the file....also run it on admnistrator mode and nothing....any advice?

Is there a way of getting emails specifically about new versions of genie coming out etc. I know there is the news letter but it be brilliant if the second a new update comes out everyone could just automatically get sent an email to stop lots of repeat posts on here etc. Keep up the good work guys and gals.

@ricardofly Yep! I'm using 22g, it's great! You can check role suitability and potential of development. Very useful features. I've been using the G version for a few years. Have been donating every year.

Sadly, it does not seem to be working for Game Pass versions of FM22 at the moment. HOPEFULLY an update comes out soon to fix that.

Apologies. I downloaded the new update this morning and didn't realise FM had released another update after that. I will await the newer update. Hopefully asap as boy do I need genie right now lol! (tried running as administrator and no luck sadly)

Hello guys, first of all thank you once again for your hardwork.
I got a problem this year when loading a shortlist in-game I can't seem to find it,it's in a diferent Type file,it's .SLF while it needs to be .FMF to work.
Can someone help me on that?

Didn't seem to have a delay for the the major 22.2 hotfix (or maybe you were faster than ever ) was posting just in case and to know if I it really could be because of the GP version.

I wasn't aware there was a delay for Gamepass/Xbox editions, this is the first time I've not had the steam version. Is it perhaps worthwhile having that information in the 'Compatibility' section of the page?

Spamming the comment section won't make anything go faster. Every new patch arrives first on Steam/Epic and there's a significant delay until it arrives to Xbox edition and Gamepass. We are very much aware of all new patches as soon as they get released, and we do our best to roll out updates in timely manner. All you need to do is be patient. Thank you for understanding.
