FM 2013 Tools - MacAssistant RT for FM13 - Exclusive
MacAssistant RT is a real time scout tool for Football Manager 2013. It supports Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8, and the latest 13.3.3 Steam version of FM2013.
Exclusively available from fmscout.com

Picking up where MacAssistant 2012 left off, the work continues on MacAssistant RT for FM13.

Released: 29 November 2012 - v0.4
Updated: 29 March 2013 - v0.5.1

Redistribution Policy:
People who want to put MacAssistant RT on other sites, you may link back to this very page but you cannot host any files yourselves. Thank you!

Compatibility

Current MacAssistant RT version 0.5.1 supports:
  • FM13 version 13.3.3, 13.3.2, 13.3.0, 13.2.3, 13.2.2, 13.2.1, 13.2 and 13.1.3
  • FM13 Russian Retail 13.2.2, 13.2 and 13.1.3
  • Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8

Update 0.5.1

Use MacAssistant RT's autoupdate feature to update the application. If you selected the option to be notified when a new update is out, a message will appear once you launch the application.
If this is a fresh install, simply drag the icon in your Applications folder, and then run the updates to make sure you have the latest version.

Features

After SI's decision to lock down the saved game files this year, the only solution was to get the data from the memory, and that is what I did with MacAssistant RT.
  • Ability to scout for players
  • See the player's statistics in detail, as well as their hidden statistics
  • Amazing predicate editor, so you can search for that awesome player you couldn't find till now
  • Automatic application updates keeps you up-to-date with new features
  • Person Statistics
  • Player Status icons in search results
  • Player Contract Details
  • Nation Flags
  • Player reputation
  • Fitness / Jadedness
  • Reset Search terms
  • Case-sensitive or Case-insensitive search
  • Player faces (megapack) support!
  • Detects running version of Football Manager
  • Search for Free Agents, Expiring and Expired Contracts
  • Added Ctr, Loa, and Lst Player Statuses
  • Estimated Asking Price (Not 100% accurate yet)
  • Staff Search
  • Staff Detail Panel
  • NEW!! Support for 13.3.3
  • BUGFIX! Fixed some minor memory leaks
A lot of exciting features and improvements are coming too, in later releases. MacAssistant RT will include shortlisting functionality, so you can save the players you find in MacAssistant RT and load them in the game, without the need to search again for them. Clubs, Nations and other game objects will be included as well, all through a constant stream of monthly updates you'll get from the application's smart auto-update system.

Instructions for the First Run

The first time you load the app, it will ask for your password. Please fill it in because it's important that the app will run with root access, otherwise it will quit.

Also the app will try to locate your game's lang_db.dat file automatically. Please, open preferences, by clicking the MacAssistant RT menu bar and then Preferences after you've successfully loaded a game, to make sure that the file was correctly located. If it wasn't, please click on the default path and point it to the correct location. The game, however, can still load fine without it, so you can safely ignore this for now, until all the new features are added.

Bug Reports

MacAssistant RT will also need your help! Due to the fact that I had to completely rewrite the loading engine, it is to be expected that there will be some bugs to hunt down and kill. Reporting any bug you come across is vital, and this will be handled by the new bug tracking system.
So if you find a bug, please file a bug in the issue tracker, and I'll try and fix it as soon as possible.

Feature Requests

You can always request a feature that you want that will make this tool better! Just leave a message in the official MacAssistant RT Forums!
Any doable feature requested will make it in the next release if it's not that time consuming. But if it is, you'll probably have to wait a few releases. It's still gonna be added!

@luthman is it the Steam version, or retail? To be honest there are some issues with the current version and Snow Leopard, they will hopefully be fixed in the next release.

I've been away this whole month because of some business I had to take care, but I'm back developing the 0.5 release now, I will keep you all up to date!

    I have MAC OS 10.6.8

And the latest FM version 13.2.2.

    Shouldn't it work then?

It just continue to say "Finding offsets"...

I'm in the danish version of the game

thx for awesome tool that make playing fm in MAC much more fun

I guess one of the main features that is missing is player rating. Are there any plans to incorporate this? Or is it already in and I'm just a retard
  • thanoulas's avatar
@touchofarhino An estimated player value is already implemented in the next version that should be available sometime by the end of this month. It's going to be a great update with a lot of features

@fredondo MacAssistant is just a scout app for now. There might be some editing features sometime in the future, but my priority is to add all scout elements in first.
  • fredondo's avatar
@thanoulas - great app. do you plan to incorporate attributes editing as well? i assume that as long as all information is read from memory, you have the addresses for these and can quite easy enable change of these values too?
  • touchofarhino's avatar
Hey Thanoulas, wondering how close you are to incorporating sale value for a player into MacAssistant? Not trying to rush, just gauging when it might be best to start my new save.

    Hi Bundestar,
I don't own the Russian version, so someone needs to run the diagnostic and upload the log in a new bug report. This will give me enough data to add support for it.
  • bundestar's avatar
Do you plan to make update for Russian Retail 13.2.2 any time soon?
  • thanoulas's avatar
It depends on how many things were changed. If it's simple enough, it shouldn't take more than a couple of days.
  • louissnoois's avatar
Rough ETA (if at all) of an update for use with FM 13.2.2(released today/7thJan)??

    Much appreciated! :)

Thank you Thanoulas for doing such a great job to provide us Mac users with this program.

hmmm, I know it's a big ask but would it be possible to search for non-player stats as well?

@ecosse: "A lot of exciting features and improvements are coming too, in later releases."

Thanoulas is working very hard on implementing extra features, but for now the complete list of all the features are in this article. So you'll have to wait until Thanoulas is ready. :)

I downloaded this but can't get a couple of features that exist in Genie. One, how do I get the asking value to appear? And second, this doesn't seem to search for regen players. How do I get that? Thanks!
  • thanoulas's avatar
@Ascates go to FM's settings and set the graphics options to Windowed mode. This way you'll see both the desktop and the game.

To anyone getting the "Unsupported version" message, please start a new game managing Manchester United, Run the diagnostics in MacAssistant RT (File > Run Diagnostics) and post the log in a new bug report. This will give me enough info to add support for your version. Thanks
  • ASCATES's avatar
    @doctor

    thanks for your support!!
That's what I'm struggling with how do I come out of Fm2013 to load mac assistant RT without saving and exiting from fm2013?
    Cheers!!
  • TheDoctor's avatar
    @ASCATES:
    1. Start up steam
    2. Start up FM2013
    3. Load in your save file in FM2013
    4. Start up MacAssistant RT
    5. Press "Load Game" in MacAssistant RT
    6. Wait until the sidebar says "Players"
    7. Click "Players"
    8. Click the magnifying glass
    9. Put in whatever requirements you need

    Enjoy :)

Thank you for doing a ulitlity program for the mac.

I'm unable to load game as i'm using it direct from steam.

I'm all new to mac as used to have pc. I'm getting the message "MacAssistant RT could not find a running FM 2013 process. Please make sure the game is running and a game is loaded before you start MacAssistant RT."

Is there any way I can find out home to run this

    thanks!!
  • matt653's avatar
Absolutely great work mate! Thanks for support for 10.6!
A suggestion: Being able to search by players's nation's continent? Instead of having to search for each individual country in that continent
  • jockey13's avatar
@efmirza, I am getting the same. I am also on 13.2.1 and OS X 10.8.2
  • efmirza's avatar
It' doesn't work. I still got the unsupported version of FM message. I am using 13.2.1 and running from steam in offline mode.
  • tcbegue's avatar
With a steam inscription, Mac Assitant doesn't work. The program cannot find the lang_db.dat. I don't find it in my computer neither. I think all is on steam's website.
How can I manage that ?
  • thanoulas's avatar
@Cruisio get the latest version from here, and overwrite your local MacAssistant. Then update and it should work.

    @mikecigarro
Download the file from here, double click it and you should get a Disk icon called "MacAssistant RT" on your desktop. Double click that one, and then drag the blue MacAssitant RT icon from the window to your "Applications" folder, then run as you would any other app.
  • mikecigarro's avatar
