Football Manager 2024 League Updates - AFC Leagues for FM24 by MasterIgor v24.14 (with Coefficients)
Hello everyone,

here is the league pack for all nations/federations in Asia. It also includes the continental competitions for the 2024 format with coefficients.

! for Official 24.3.0 Update Database only !
Creating the world is a very time consuming task, and I do not have the time to support and test all databases. So I am going with the latest version only. The bright side is that it is for free. Tips are more than welcome though :-)

Hi, I am keen to play against Auckland FC in the A-League and downloaded the league pack. When I loaded the game up with the selected database I can't see Auckland FC in the league or do they come in for the 2024 season?

@WhiteWulf: thanks for pointing out, I did not notice it. I also found the reason already: newly created teams get disabled by FM unless you add them to the requirements list.. I had missed that. I will update right away.

Hi @MasterIgor - Thank you for updating the AFC league. Appreciate all your hardwork. I've noticed that the changes and added teams didn't reflect for the Philippine League. Thank you

@minhraus: difficult for me to check since I always do big tests by holidaying. But I did notice something in my match rules, so that could have caused it. I am fixing it and will try to verify it

@breakthegame: the AFC continental rules - which were difficult to get right - pick teams only from leagues, yes. I am going to investigate if I can insert also cup winners without too much effort, because that is how it is in real life of course.

    Hello. Thanks for your work.
I'm playing in Thailand. I finished the first season, finished 6th but won the cup. It says I should play AFCE but I'm not in the list of the teams while the champion is in, and the 2nd in the AFCE2

Please add Indonesia's U17 team for competition and fix Indonesia's U19 team cz it doesnt have any match and competition running..
  • ds0709's avatar
    It's a great patch, appreciated.

And there's rules changed as there is no restriction on foreign players in the asian continental competition :)

I am in season 2 of the AFC CL2 but for some group stage matches, I can't field any players as it said all my players were unregistered although I registered them in the early stage, so I had to holiday these matches to proceed, please check it @MasterIgor. Much appreciate your work!

    Enjoy your weeks off!

    @everyone:
It's summer holidays and I don't have much time that I want to invest in editing. I am taking a break from editing and then in a few weeks, I will continue until the end of August and then I will stop. I hope to finish UEFA until that time.
Everything else, I will only do when there is time left.

You must understand that I invested an enormous amount of free time and all for free. This is as much as I can do without going crazy.
  • CieWolf1970's avatar
    @MasterIgor Thank you for responding.

So the official new formats of the upcoming season (24-2025) will not have the same teams like irl? That correct?

Have you thought about adding FIFA Intercontinental Cup and also the ASEAN Club Championship (Shopee Cup) yet?
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@CieWolf: sounds all is right. ACLE 2 leagues East & West, ACL2 are 8 groups (first 4 are West, last 4 are East - you could tell from the participating nations if that's the case), ACGL is 5 groups only (first 3 west, last 2 east).

you can change anything you like in the game editor.

And for the first year, 2023, I picked the teams from real life, but the group draw may vary of course.

@Ben24: I am not sure which files by me you want to use, and I don't know the custom DB, so I don't know how to answer this one.
To help you make a decision:
    - my AUS.fmf adds/changes leagues in Australia only. These have rules for qualifying for continental cups.
    - my AFC.fmf changed the continental cups. This file has the coefficients.

If the custom DB changes one of these things, it will be different. Whether it will work correct, I can not say. I suggest you to run the game as unemployed for a couple of years and observe if the qualifications and coefficients work like you want them to.
  • Ben24's avatar
Hey mate, I want to do a build a nation save in Australia and have a custom database for that. Would it break this database if I would use both this db and the australian db? As in, does it affect the coefficient for Australia and qualification spots if I use both? Or does this database work with custom databases enabled aswell?
  • CieWolf1970's avatar
    @MasterIgor I have simulated until august '24.
CL Elite is working (East and West Region) but CL Two is divided in 8 groups (do not see which is East and West though), same as Challenge League. If this was meant to then everything works (data etc).

And also is it ok if there are different teams in those groups then i see on wiki?

ACLE nad ECL2 still not have the right names, but the Challenge League do now!

Using english lanhuage did not help.
So.. can i change the names in the in game editor myself then?

Thank you again for all your hard work!
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@Veerman: apparently so! I will change it in a next update
    1
  • Keneth Veerman's avatar
But apparently the Indonesian League has changed its rules again, to free 8 foreign players, only 6 in starting XI
  • CieWolf1970's avatar
@MasterIgor I really hope you have the energy left to do that!
It would be awesome if the AFC CL Elite can continue in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and FIFA Club World Cup every year. I know the Club World Cup is allready in the base game and i do have a Intercontinental Cup.by TMC but not sure if his alligns together with your AFC CL Elite. Will also test your suggestion to see if the 2024 is correct.

If the names still will not change (even if i use english language) can i safely change them myself in the in-game editor or will that change the whole AFC format?
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@CieWolf1970: ok, dutch language could perhaps explain why the name change is not shown. Otherwise it seems to look good. If you want to be sure, you could go on holiday until August 2024 and see if the competitions use the 2024 format.

As for international cups by FIFA: maybe if I still have energy left after completing all the rest.
  • CieWolf1970's avatar
@MasterIgor Maybe also (re)think about adding the FIFA Intercontinental Cup? because the winner of the Champions League Elite will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup (and also FIFA Club World Cup) or will those 2 allready happen with your awesome mod? Sorry to bother you with all these
  • CieWolf1970's avatar
@Master Igor I play in my native language which is dutch.
Also not in '24 yet. Still starting on july 10, '23. Should i simulate until '24 first?

Also the Champions League Elite (AFC Champions League) is in the preliminary round (west and east), CL Two (AFC Cup) is in the second preliminary round (south and east asian and asean zones) and the Challenge League (AFC President's Cup) will start on august 13, '24.
