Why Stoke?
In the last couple of years, there has been a lot of unfair stigma attached to Stoke about them being a "rugby team", and not playing good football on most occasions. I'm one of not many to not join in this criticism, and this story is one of my ways to protest Stoke's innocence.I also feel that Stoke is traditionally quite an unfashionable club, which I am aiming to change (in my save, at the very least). I want to turn them from a mid-table side with not much history, into a side challenging for the Premier League title, and maybe even the Champions League by the time FM14 comes out in about three months.
Who Am I?
I have chosen to go for someone you may not have heard of - Mike Bassett. This is because he is fictional. He was created as the star of a film a few years ago, in which Bassett was England manager, and took England to the semi-finals of the World Cup (God knows how). Anyway, I've decided to use him as the manager, as some others have chosen to do in the past as well. I also recommend you look up the film and watch it, as it's funny and also has drama.
