It's not currently possible to add your own photo for your human manager profile.
There's no option to choose a picture in preferences or anywhere.
And even if you find your manager's Unique ID (UID) by using a third party tool, adding a png file and the relevant code in config.xml will still not work.
So as things stand, it's impossible to have custom manager photo. We're stuck with the 3D face.
