Liverpool F.C – Bringing Back The Glory Years !
ABOUT LIVERPOOL
Established in 1892 , Liverpool F.C. is one of the most successful clubs in England and has won more European trophies than any other English team with five European Cups, three UEFA Cups and three UEFA Super Cups. The club has also won eighteen League titles, seven FA Cups and a record eight League Cups.
However in the recent years , the club has been in sort of a decline . Liverpool have not won the Premier League since 1990 , not at all suitable for a club of Liverpool’s stature . Liverpool’s most recent meaningful challenge to the title came in 2009 under Spanish manager Rafa Benitez . Liverpool finished second to Manchester United , despite suffering just two loses in the league .
Benitez was sacked the next season after a dismal 7th position in the league and due to disputes with the American owners . Roy Hodgson , the successor didn’t last long too , he was sacked too after a disastrous spell which left Liverpool third from the bottom after seven games . He was replaced by former Liverpool player and legend Kenny Dalglish who then steadied the ship and achieved a decent 6th finish after an extremely poor start to the season . While King Kenny received the job next year , he could only manage a 8th palced finish . And despite winning the League Cup which earned Liverpool a place in the Europa League and reaching the FA Cup Final , owners John Henry and Tom Werner decided it was time for change . Brendan Rodgers succeeded Dalglish . The Swansea manager had kept the club fromm being relegated and Swansea had played some attractive football on the way .
It is time for Liverpool to improve . But is Rodgers the right man to take Liverpool ahead ?
Only time will tell .

Hi Guys ! I am new here and this my first attempt at a Football Manager story . I will be doing it with my favorite club - Liverpool . While this may be my first attempt at a FM story , this is not my first year playing FM . I have been playing since 2010 and following this site since 2012 . I will start the actual save when I receive the game . I live in India , and it may take a bit longer to get the game here . So , if you have any suggestions for me I would love to hear them .
