Welcome to my FM22 story with Pisa Sporting Club (SC).
Why Pisa SC? Two simple reasons really.
I really enjoy managing in Italy on FM. On FM20 I had my most enjoyable FM save ever, taking Palermo from Serie C, to a Champions League title, beating Real Madrid in the final. I won 9 Serie A titles with Palermo, and just really enjoyed the prospect of managing an Italian club.
The second reason, and the main reason, Lorenzo Lucca. The 21 year old striker is currently banging the goals in for Pisa IRL, with 6 goals in the Serie B this season. I recognize him from his time at Palermo, he briefly did well for me in the lower leagues, but he didn’t have a very high ceiling. Now on FM22, I know the potential he has, and for that reason I want to make him my main man, and hopefully stay at the club until he retires. I want to build the team around him, from our tactics to the players we bring in. He will be our star. What makes him special? He is 6 ft 7 in, who doesn’t like a big rangy striker eh!
I am not going to give myself any restrictions on this save, to try and make it as enjoyable as possible for myself. I have some personal goals I want to accomplish, such as promotion to Serie A, winning a Serie A title, then the big kahuna - a Champions League title.
To make this blog manageable, I plan to post at least once a week, and each post will be a review/reflection on each month played in the game.
