SLB Chasing the Sucess
This year I continue my saga of chasing the success in the last FM I went with LOSC Lille where we achieved some success, but this year I'm going with Benfica in search of the impossible and creating a golden generation.
Why Benfica?
Easy, it's my favorite team is fan club. Despite our surprising victory against Barcelona, it doesn't hide the lack of consistency and the bad performances and has contributed to that. With the coach who should already be in retirement, where you start to notice a lack of support from the players and management.
Benfica Present and the Future
Currently, Benfica has the best youth academie in the world thanks to many years of investments, the management managed to obtain surprising profits in the last few years, from the sale of Renato Sanches(35M) through Ruben Dias(60M) to João Félix(120M).
Rui Costa Nova Era
After many years of Vieira, it is Rui Costa's turn, one of the club's legends with maximum status will lead the club in the coming years, with a majority victory in the elections Rui Costa takes on the club at a difficult stage, the lack of titles and young promises will be one of the main goals of the new president.
Goals for the Next Times
- Reach 40 Titles as National Champion
- Win a European competition
-Creating a Golden Generation made in Benfica
-Break player sales records
Season 21-22
There were no movements in the transfer market because I only started with transfers in January, but we had a tricky start with some inconsistencies and I didn't know which tactic to use, but with time I realized that the available squad allowed for three different tactics between the 4-2-2-2 balanced, to 4-3-3-asymmetric with a register (João Mário) or a defensive pivot (Julian Weigl) until 3-4-3 for complicated games.
We managed to find the necessary consistency for victories and fight for domestic titles until the we got knockout from Champions League Stage and we got send to Europe League.
Apart from that, we managed to win the Championship in a very close fight against Sporting, in which it was until the last round where we managed to secure the title.
In the domestic cups, we lost the League Cup against Sporting in the final and managed to win the National Cup 3-1 against Famalicão.
In the Europa League I was a real surprise, I never thought it was possible to win the competition despite the difficult opponents we had, but it was a great victory for everyone, but especially for the players.
The Future and Benfica
Apart from that I managed to promote many players from the B team to strengthen the squad where the main highlights are Paulo Bernardo and Gonçalo Ramos who managed to secure the title in the team, but it will be very difficult to keep them at the club after an incredible season.
Paulo Bernardo the Future Star
All in all it was a great season now objective and keeping the momentum going and continuing to fight for titles and promoting young players is not going to be easy, but we're not going to give up either.
