Kinkladze spoke to mcfc.co.uk and said “I am delighted that the board have offered me a new contract and I can’t wait to get back to work and build for the future of the Club. This season hasn’t quite been what we wanted in the league but we will strive to do better next year. With the disappointment in the League, comes the excitement and pride of our Champions League run and I am happy the deal has been agreed just before our key 2nd leg in Turkey.”
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany lead the players in expressing their delight at Kinkladze staying at the Club, on his twitter account Kompany tweeted, “Great to see the gaffer is staying put, big things to come next year #mcfc #bringonnextseason”
