The whole idea of the tactic is to overload the Centerbacks with the 3 strikers, whilst keeping good width with the full-backs and mezzala CM's, but keeping defensive stability with the Ball Winning Midfielder. You can expect low possession, good quality chances and goals galore!
Make sure these players have good passing and vision, so that you can counter well. They must also obviously have good marking and tackling stats.
You must spend most of your budget on these as they are effectively your only existing presence out wide. Make sure they have a good work rate, decent strength if possible and good crossing.
BALL WINNING MIDFIELDER
This guy is very important - he provides much needed defensive stability and if he is not up to scratch you will encounter MAJOR issues. He must have good tackling, strength and work rate.
Make sure they have good crossing, passing and vision or you will lack creativity.
Make sure they have good off the ball, work rate, finishing and pace. If you are managing a smaller club and do not have good enough players to play Complete Forward role, switch the roles to deep lying forward.
As you can see, it has worked very well for me, winning the league in my first season by just one point. Here are some screenshots showing some outstanding results.
