We spoke with Eugene and he confirmed that Genie Scout 11 is under development. We'll get our hands upon a pre-beta version during the coming weeks and we'll keep you posted on the progress.

Before you start asking about when the new Genie Scout 11 will become available for download, let me say this: We don't know yet, it will be out when it's ready... and obviously after the FM 2011 Demo comes out.

Just to set things straight, the only promise I made here was about having a fresh interview and a sneak preview of the pre-beta in terms of impressions. I broke this promise because Eugene did the same to me, but it happens. We set priorities and try to abide by them; it doesn't always work out.

Well, I really have nothing to add. I can not even promise that will be released in 2 months. I do not want to be selfish, but I'm for him money is not paid (not counting the $ 5.10 per month = donate). In contrast to the work for which complete obstruction at least until the end of the year. And i also said that i recognize the work and passion (compliment to you) that theres on this website and that i love it.
When you publish something, it is normal receive some critics, but that doesn't mean you are doing a bad job.
@azabetts: in case you didn't notice, i don't use Genie Scout, so basically i don't really care if it will come out or not (80% won't in my opinion).

Is it really my fault? OK, so it's MY fault because:
- I proudly announced it because Eugene confirmed it himself through an email to me... and it was a month after it appeared on the Ukrainian forum, because I was waiting for his confirmation first.
- I never disappear, and I have already explained everything that happened and all I know on the forum thread about it.
- Should I really care about how many downloads Genie will get? I'm not producing the program, releasing a late program is not my fault; I'd release it before demo if I had it.
- Like I said, I'm here every day and I already said what I know in the forums. So next time you try to judge me, be more careful.
This site doesn't exist because it receives traffic, traffic just helps to pay the expenses. This site exists because I have been working on it on my own for the past 6 years, and for the most part I was paying from my pocket for the costs. It exists because it's something I love doing and as long as this continues, it shall not cease to exist.
Indeed, if the situation got nervous, is YOUR fault for several reasons:
- you proudly confirmed FM Scout 2011 on October 7th (2 months ago) without even be sure about it, just hearing a fake news on an ukrainian forum
- after you realized it, you just disappeared, without even answering to the people who visits this website really often, and in the few comments you made here, you appeared even annoyed that the people was asking news about it, while i guess we deserve some assistance since we create intense traffic on the website (and this counts when you wanna get something from advertising) and some of us contribute with several downloadable files.
- Game is out from long time now, lot of people already played it and customized it, in my city is already on sale! And i am sure that if genie scout 11 would come out today, there would be at least half of the downloads than 1 month ago.
- Again, i think you know whats going on, symptom is that you never show up here, FM Scout 11 won't come out isnt it? Or maybe "eugene" is checking out whats the market interest about the product in order to decide about making the product shareware (if is this the case, let me tell you what a bad strategy is act like this)?
Anyway, i generally i always loved this website, and i understand how much passion and work theres in it, i personally use FMSX because i am mac, but i have appreciated FM scout in the past.
Just a couple of suggestions for you Stam: next time annouce something when you are SURE you got it, and try to be patient and cohoperative (answering more often and giving more infos) with the guys here, because without them, this website wouldnt exist anymore.
