Now Lamela will cost you around £35,000,000 to sign as he is young and talented. however he will really add something to your team if you sign him, so in my opinion, he's more than worth his price tag.
Now if you get an offer accepted for him, he will ask for around 80k-100k a week, however you can try an negotiate a lower amount of wage for him but he'll usually demand about over 75k.
Lamela can play in numerous positions, however in my personal experience is he beter as right winger in a Advanced Playmaker role or as a inside forward, he can play any of these roles very well and can provide both goals and assists for your team.
However he is also very effective as a right midfielder.In my career with Tottenham i played him as right winger and he got me lots of goals from that position.
Lamela is what you call a 'perfect winger' as he has many attributes which can affect the game. He is very good at technique and dribbling, but his main attribute is his acceleration. He can get you many assists and goals if he is playing in a attacking position.
However don't except Lamela to help out defensively a lot, as he isn't the best at defending but he won't give away needless fouls.
Lamela can become priceless to the club. so your best option is to try and sign him in the first season or if his contract starts to run out, it will be a struggle to sign him but as I said earlier, he's worth it.
He reacts very well to your positive comments and almost always has good morale. He is a genuine nice guy and focuses solely on his performances. I wouldn't set him to be your captain because his leadership skills are very low
Personally, Lamela is one of my favourite players on FM14, he almost always ends up being on the shortlist for the Ballon d'Or and usually gets me around 14-25 goals per season and 10-20 assists.
