Well my journey is underway now and I have just entered the month of October and been given my first job opportunity which is with Havant & Waterlooville. Its gonna be tough that's all I can say.

Thank you. They were always going to be difficult games but in the future we may do better.

August: A Great Start...

What is important whenever you join a club is to win your first few games to show that the club’s fans and your employers that they have made the right decision in welcoming you into their club. I feel that it is even more essential to win your first home game in some style, showing off what new approaches you have brought to the club already. The fans will want to see the new players, from the start of the season, making some kind of impact to already justify the transfer fee. You can imagine my delight at seeing Jerome Sinclair, who has signed on a permanent deal after being on loan at the end of the club, grabbing himself a brace in front of the Toon Army at St James’ Park against Wigan. This win really did signal out intent for the remainder of the month.

Our player of the month Alexandr Kokorin looks to be a very handy player to have leading the line. Despite Sinclair making an immediate impact, it is Kokorin who has started every game so far this season. He has paid back the faith I have showed in him by scoring four goals in the first four games. What is interesting is that he appears to be the only player who wants to score in the first half; the rest of the players don’t appear to put on their shooting boots on until half time. This could potentially be our downfall when it comes to playing against the bigger club; the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are not going to let us get away with only starting to get shots on target in the second half.

Despite having made an excellent start to the season, I think that the board of directors are going to be very hard to impress. The reason for their discontent at the moment is the lack of goals from set pieces. This unfortunately was an ethos I had to agree to in order to get the job at Newcastle but it is not an ethos I am a fan of. I prefer to score goals from open play and don’t want to have to rely on the centre backs coming forward to get their head on the ball to get a winner. Hopefully, if I am offered a chance to review my contract in the future, I will be able to remove that ethos as it could stop the board of directors liking my style of play.

Player of the Month – Alexandr Kokorin

This story is just epic mate, love how you literally started from the bottom and you're managing in the Premier League!

Epic is a strong word so thank you very much. I am quite surprised I have already made it to the Premier League so it can only go up from here!
Top of the league! :D

I really do hope we can make that spot ours!
Nice month man! Top of the league!

Thank you. It did go extremely well. Long may it continue!

September: High Expectations...

This month was always going to be a test so early on in the season. Spurs have done well over the past few seasons despite the chopping and changing of managers that we have seen since Andre Villas-Boas left. They are a team with great quality; before the game against them I was concerned about the likes of Christian Eriksen and Danny Welbeck. However, I think that my team are going to be a team that can head into any game with the confidence that they are going to outscore their opponents, a bit like Liverpool have done so far this season. Jerome Sinclair has continued to impress his new fans with getting himself another brace in the second half which saw us get the two goals needed to win the game and continue our unbeaten start.

I was disappointed to see the team lose against United but you cannot criticise them as they put in 100% from start to finish. I felt that my expectations of the player’s may have been a bit too high, especially as there is still a lot of new players trying to gel into the new club and my setup. What has made more difficult for them is that I keep rotating the starting line up as I am still looking for my preferred eleven. I feel that certain players are the first name on the team sheet; Jack Grealish, Jamaal Lascelles and John Lundstram are added to the team sheet prior to any game. They are three great players who are becoming the players that the rest of the team are based around.

I have expressed a lack of interest in domestic cup competitions with recent clubs as I feel that getting them promoted was more important. However, I am now at a club that is the top of English football and we aren’t exactly far off from the top of the league. I have to admit that this season I intend on getting this club their first piece of significant silverware since 2010 when they won the Championship. They have not won a cup competition since 1969 which was the EURO Cup and this is not good enough for a club with the stature of Newcastle United. I really do hope I can change their fortunes and the win against Southampton was the first step on that journey.

Player of the Month – Jamaal Lascelles

Good Luck hope fortune favours the brave
Just used the morning reading thru this story and must say that it's easily the best written story on the board. Only thing letting it down is the title. For some reason I had never noticed this story before.

Fantastic job with Notts C. Especially the first season in the EPL was very impressive. Good luck with the new team this season.
Not a bad month, truth be told. Obviously tough to drop points, but those were some good teams you were up against. Keep up this kind of form (granted it is early in the season) and a Champions League place isn't out of the question!

I won't lie, I didn't really follow this story too much before, but over the last few weeks I've read it all and wow, it's amazing! Congratulations on your newest long term follower: me! :P
spongerofc:Thank you. Long may the good start continue.

Northwood: Thanks for taking the time out to read it all. It must have taken a while! I will be looking to change the title of the story so I hope you approve and don't lose the story amongst the many others.

Neal:It was tough to drop points, especially against Swansea who we really should be beating comfortably in my opinion. At least you're honest and I am glad you have found a new story to follow. Thanks :)
Just read this story in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much it has inspired me to do a similar save of my own. Will be interesting as I usually go with International or Professional experience as the team I support in real life is a team that yo-yos between Championship (mainly) and Premier League. Maybe I'll even write a story about it.
