Hello there!

You may remember me from my previous FM story with Arsenal, unfortunately I lost the save and lost motivation.. But now I'm back with new better ideas. Reading and making stories about FM14 is something I enjoy doing, so hopefully you will have fun with this story too!

Arsène Wenger will be looking to prove that he is still up for capturing glory and end the trophy-drought that has been haunting Arsenal from the last 8 years to this very day.

Make sure to check this thread continuously, I've got a lot of ideas for this story and I'm confident it will be much better than my previous one!

Cheers

Business is done early

Arsenal FC have completed FOUR new signings in first day of the transfer market. Arsène Wenger was in the Emirates Stadium to face the media.

Some of the headlines:

Q: Arsenal started the transfer window with Four signings! Yaya Sanogo, Mathieu Flamini, Emiliano Viviano on loan and Mesut Ozil. What kind of impact do you expect from them?

A: Positive one for sure! We now have got more depth and more quality players which will only help us to push forward. I'm happy to welcome them to the club.

Q: The fans are really delighted to see Mesut Ozil in an Arsenal shirt for 42.5 Million Pounds, are you pleased with that?

A: Yes I'm very pleased to see that! It shows that we are determined to improve and prove that we are still up for winning the title. Mesut Ozil has all the needed attributes to help us push forward.

Q: What would you like to say about the upcoming season?

A: We will work very hard to make it a good season, on and off the pitch. We are progressing very well on both aspects and we are determined to improve even more. The fans have been great to us in the last Eight years where we struggled a lot financially that we had to limit our options just to pay the debts. But now things are much better for us, we are financially much better with a top quality group of players.

Q: Do you think it will be possible for Arsenal to win the league this season?

A: Yes, of course! We have a lot of quality players, a good mix of young and experienced players, strong resources and of course fans who support the club! We've been working hard in the last years to get to this position and we made it. I'm confident we can challenge for the title this year.

Q: Can we expect more signings this summer?

A: I'm confident we can fight for the title this season with the squad we currently have, so no. Of course unless something turns up.

Arsène Wenger clearly thinks that Arsenal can challenge for the title this season. Arsenal are desperately looking to end their long trophyless Eight years. Arsène has declared that Arsenal are in a good position on and off the pitch to challenge for the Barclays Premier League despite the media's predictions.
