- We love our team / Toon is the name -

Newcastle United will play Birmingham City in the Capital One Cup Quarter Final, after our loved team sent the current holders Swansea out after extra time.

Birmingham have been drawn as the home team in the match so the game will be played at St. Andrews on Tuesday 17th December 2013.

"I would say that we have an excelent chance. I'm more than happy with this Cup draw. Anyway, we'll need to be patient in the match considering that we'll play away. We avoid teams like Chelsea or Arsenal but if we'll go in the Semi Finals we'll have a harder job for sure." declared our coach Oliver Kahn.

Also, we had a reaction from Birmingham boss Lee Clark: "We sent Aston Villa out last round so Newcastle shouldn't see us a low team and they shouldn't forget that we have Zigic. We'll play the match home and we'll do everything we can to go trough.".

Competition draw.

Cursed Newcastle. Ben Arfa set to start again, Coloccini out for 6 weeks

Bringing the Newcastle's win against Aston Villa, Coloccini was substituted in the same match after 76 minutes. The verdict is hard for both Coloccini and the Club: the 31 years old Newcastle top scorer has strained knee ligaments and is expected to be out for 6 weeks.

So, while Ben Arfa is set to start again after suffering a hernia, Newcastle is registering another important player miss.

"We can't be fully happy with the results and Hatem's return while we're losing players like Fabricio for a long time. November will be a very hard month without him, considering both the number of goals he scored this season and his defensive qualities. Hope players like Yanga-Mbiwa, Taylor and de Vrij are good enough to replace him successfully." declared Oliver Kahn.

Cabaye: "I love Kahn's agressive style"

Having an official speech for BBC Sport, Yohann Cabaye revealed in his words Oliver Kahn's top motivator skills.

"After mr. Kahn's appoint here we all feel like taking part at the best team in the world. We're expected to win every single match and mr. Kahn really knows how to motivate us. I'm very happy to have a coach like him, a former leagend. Honestly, I wasn't expecting to see these coaching skills from a former goalkeeper but mr. Oliver is a top manager, for sure. I just love his agressive style, style which made him well-known arround the world. I'm sure we'll have a great season, mr. Kahn knows how to make us a good team!" declared Cabaye.
Tough injury for Coloccini. Hopefully you'll cope without him but it's a huge loss!
