Jake Humphrey: Hello and welcome to the 2014 FA Community Shield live from wembley stadium. Between the FA Cup Holders Arsenal vs Premier League Winners Manchester City. I am delighted to be joined by Arsenal legend Ian Wright and Manchester City Legend Steve McManaman. Afternoon gentleman.

Ian Wright: Afternoon.
Steve McManaman: Afternoon to the viewers at home.

Jake Humphrey: Well gentleman, we have a cracking game in prospect here, as Arsenal's new manager Paul Clement takes charge of his first proper senior game. He is up against Manuel Pellegrini who won the Premiership in his first season in charge at city. What do you think of Arsenal's chances wining today's game lads?

Ian Wright: It will be a very tough game for both sides as they have wonderful players who can score great goals, create wonderful goals and have brilliant creative and goalscorers in there team. However I would say Manchester City are great at the back compared to Arsenal, which lets Arsenal down at the back. City have good defenders at the back such as Vincent Kompany, who is a great leader at the back, reminds of a younger version of Tony Adams. To be honest I feel Arsenal still need to replace Thomas Vermaelen, whose left a hole at the back waiting to be replaced, but don't get me wrong, I feel Éder Álvarez Balanta and Calum Chambers are two great young prospects in the making for Arsenal. Who will go on to achieve great things at Arsenal under Paul Clement.

Steve McManaman: To be honest lads, I feel City will edge this game, they've got the quality in there side like Arsenal don't. Also they have leadership in Vincent Kompany. I know Paul Clement, is a great English coach, I just don't think he will cut the chase at Arsenal. It's good that hes setting an example to all young English coaches/mangers showing that they can still get top jobs but I just don't think he will be able to cope with the pressure at Arsenal.

Jake Humphrey: Lets go down to our tunnel reporter David James, hes speaking to Arsenal manager: Paul Clement.

David James: Paul, welcome back to England and what a role your taking on, how do you feel about your teams chances in today's game?

Paul Clement: It's great to be here today, as a manger, not assistant or anything like that. I feel like we can edge the game to be honest with you David, as I feel like we've got the attacking and defending quality, to edge this game 1-0 or 2-1 or 2-0. It's vital that we pick up a win today, as it will get moral and confidence up for the season and will get the lads roaring to go.
David James: What have you told your players just now?
Paul Clement: Well, I said I want a good attacking game and I want us to play good quick football which is a philosophy I've learnt back at Real Madrid. I don't want anything boring to be honest, as boring football gets you no where these days. As a fan you don't want to see 19th Century football.

David James: Finally Paul, are you in the market for anyone at the moment or have you got all the players you need for the upcoming season?

Paul Clement: Well to be honest, we're looking for a backup creative midfielder but I couldn't possibly tell you who it is. All I'll say he is known in the Premier League and desperate to win trophy's.
David James: Thank You Paul.
Paul Clement: Thank You David.

Jake Humphrey: Well lets look at the two line ups today:
Manchester City: 4,3,2,1.: 1) Joe Hart, 5) Pablo Zabaleta, 4) Vincent Kompany (C), 33) Matija Nastasi?, 22) Gaël Clichy, 42), Yaya Touré, 25) Fernandio, 7) James Milner, 8) Samir Nasri, 21) David Silva, 16) Sergio Agüero
Subs: 13, Willy Caballero, 20, Eliaquim Mangala, 15, Jesús Navas, 10, Edin Džeko, 35, Stevan Joveti?, 3,Bacary Sagna, 6,Fernando.

Manchester City 3-1 Arsenal

Goal Scorers: Manchester City:, Samir Nasri (32), Yaya Touré (52), David Silva (71)
Arsenal: Danny Welbeck (86)

Paul Clement, is very disappointed with the way his team played in a big game for the gunners. He said this to Arsenal TV after the game:
"I am rather disappointed that we didn't managed to pick up a win today. We should of played much better than the way we did. As in the first half we played so much better than we did in the second half. In the second half it all just fell apart for us. Manchester City were the much better team today. I would like to wish them well for rest of the season and I promise the Arsenal fans we will come back better and stronger for our first game of the season against Tottenham."
Your writing has legitimately improved since the last time I saw you on this site (five months ago or so?) The formatting could use some work, but other than that it's a definite improvement over your other stories. Good luck! :)

(also, this is my first comment on the site for three months, feel proud :P)
Arsenal re-sign Andrey Arshavin on a contract till end of the season.

Today Sky Sports News can announce Arsenal have re-signed Andrey Arshavin on a contract till end of the season. Paul Clement did recently say he was looking into the market for a backup creative midfielder. But many people did not expect Arsenal to sign there former Russian midfielder. Many Arsenal fans hope Andrey Arshavin can make an impact this time at the club and help them win another trophy.

Many Arsenal fans have taken to twitter about the news:
@gonnerdave: I can't believe we've re-singed this waste of space! He is completely useless and last time he was here he was shocking! #wasteofmoney #wasteofspace

Alan23Foucs: Hopefully he will prove his worth this time at Arsenal, but welcome back Andrey! Good Luck!

August results for Arsenal.

Arsenal 2:2 Tottenham
Scorers: Arsenal:Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (33) and Éder Álvarez Balanta (60) Tottenham: Aaron Lennon (4) and Christian Eriksen (85)
Verdict: I feel we should of won this game after we went 2-1 up. It was really disappointing, to let in a goal in the last five minutes, we deserved to win. Also I was disappointed to let in a goal after four minutes.
Athletic Bilbao 3:1 Arsenal (Champions League Playoff) Scorers: Athletic Bilbao: Aritz Aduriz (5,35,67) Arsenal: Danny Welbeck (89)
Verdict: I felt we was terrible in this game, Athletic Bilbao tore us apart. I panicked after after this game as I felt we wouldn't beat them in the second leg at home, after our own performance in this game. They deserved to win when they were 2-0 up.
Leicester City 1:1 Leicester scorer: Sven Bender own goal (06), Arsenal scorer: Alexis Sánchez (25)
Verdict: Another poor performance today. To be honest we should of won this game easily but no we was just simply shocking at the back, lucky not to concede anymore goals. We should of won this game at least 2/3-0.
Arsenal 4-0 Athletic Bilbao Scorers: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (2,24,38,76)
Verdict: This was a much better performance compared to the one in Spain and the one in Leicester. We played much better, tidy, decent and attacking football today. Much better team performance to.
Arsenal 5:2 Swansea. Arsenal Scorers: Per Mertesacker (53 and 84), Lukas Podolski (63), Andrey Arshavin (72) and Olivier Giroud (90+2) Swansea Scorer: Wilfried Bony (36 and 55)
Verdict: Today's performance was another quality attacking performance from us. Hopefully we will carry this form into the next game after the international break against Hull City.
Overall league postion: 6th

September Results:

Hull City 0:1 Arsenal Scorer: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (6)
Verdict: To be honest, this was a disappointing performance and win from us. We started brightly then we just stopped with the quick attacking performances and slowed down which was a pain. I am glad we kept a clean sheet though.

Arsenal 0:0 Juventus (Champions League)
Verdict: This was a great start to our Champions League campaign. We played really and defended really well at the back. We had a total of 19 shots but only three target. But I was really pleased with the performance and hope when we go to Juventus, that we came back with all three points.

Arsenal 1:0 Manchester United Scorer: Danny Welbeck (46)
Verdict: This was a great win against a strong Louis van Gaal side who like to play great football. I am delighted by the fact that we kept a strong clean sheet as well. It was great to see Danny Welbeck get on the score sheet but against his former club which is great. Hopefully when we go to Old Trafford in few months we can get all three points again.

Everton 2:0 Arsenal (Capital One Cup)
Verdict: This was a disappointing defeat to a good Everton side. I wish we won this game as I felt this competition was a winnable one. It's a real shame to go out this early in the competition.

West Brom 2:0 Arsenal
Verdict: Another disappointing defeat, we should of really won this game. I am bitterly disappointed with performance. We should of won that game!

Verdict: I felt this was a good win in the Champions League, it's a shame we didn't get more than one goal though. as we had a good attacking performance.
Arsenal 1:1 Liverpool Scorer: Olivier Giroud (26)
Verdict: This was a good game of football, I felt that we played very very well but we are disappointed to off conceded in the last minute. However plenty of positives in this game of football.

Verdict: This was a good performance away from home, we need to keep good performances away from home, if we are to go on a title challenge.
Arsenal 1:2 FC Steaua Bucure?ti Scorer: Danny Welbeck (74)
Verdict: This was a very disappointing defeat today, we was 2-0 down at half time, we was just shocking in the first half. Then the second half we was poor and lacked confidence in front of goal.

Arsenal have announced that they have sacked assistant manager Steve Bould. The reason is that he has fallen out with manager Paul Clement over tactics, the way Arsenal should play and the philosophy's at Arsenal. Paul Clement has signed a new assistant manager who is Patrick Vieira. This move by Paul Clement, has been welcomed by all the Arsenal faithful, board, backroom team and playing stuff.
