Liverpool have recently announced there new manager he goes by the name of Dan Haydock this has Liverpool fans raising there eye brows

Welcome to Sky sports news HQ, Today we are outside the home of Liverpool Football Club interviewing the people of Liverpool and asking what they think of the appointment of there manager

I am here with Tommy Smith a born and bread Liverpool Supporter and Lee Kelly a Evertonian , So Tommy what do you make of the new appointment

Well, erm obviously we needed a manager but erm I think like most liverpool fans i wanted some one abit more higher profile someone like erm Jurgen Klopp or Diego Simione but i dont think we can judge just yet everyone has too start some where this young lad has got lucky and gets to start as the mighty reds

Thank you Tommy, Moving on too you Lee what do you make of it

Well like Tommy said i think everyone was expecting a high profile manager but they didnt get it so they just have to hope the lad coming in can produce, As an everton fan i love it and i think its all going to go wrong and is destine to fail

Thats all from me here in the city of liverpool back to you in the studio
Liverpool Pre Season

Pre season could of gone a little better in all games we looked okay but we just couldnt keep it solid at the back and kept giving away possesion which is somthing i will be looking in too

Pre-season Player Award

Angel Correa

the young lad in on loan for the season put in some great performances getting 3 assists and 2 goals for himself he is looking very sharp going in too the season

Transfers In

Gabriel Barbosa

With Daniel Sturridge out injured and Ings and Benteke both having a poor Pre-Season I brought in the young Brazilian costing around £12million, He can play in a few positions and certainly knows how to put a ball in the back of the net

Angle Correa

Coming in on a season long loan as a back up the young Argentine certainly showed what he can do in Pre-season with is quick feet and the ability too take players on he is a mence to defences

Tonny Vilhena

The young Dutch lad signed for around £10million but went straight back on loan to Feyenoord to gain more experiance in first team football

I then made three more signings with Daniel Amaraty who can play centre back or in midfield costing £6.75 million. We then moved in on 23 year old french right back Dennis Appiah with no real cover for Clyne, Dennis will fit in nicely. I then completed the signing of Valentino Jovic on a pre contract at only 17 years old we wont fit in right away but in a few years am hoping he will and if not move him on for a very nice profit.
Transfers out

With us bring in Correa and already having firmino and coutinho i decided to cash in on lallana getting £20 million. After signing dennis appiah and daniel amartey selling lovren was an easy choice to make, the rest of the players have just gone out on loan to gain experiance all though some will probably not be coming back

The two tactics i have decided to go with are 4-3-1-2 playing very narrow with 2 up top hoping to out play and out score the opposition. The other tactic is a 4-1-2-2-1 playing wider and have the 2 wingers cutting in and scoring goals or putting in a cross and creating chances for the striker
We opened the season against Swansea all game we was pressing and pressing for a goal with Danny Ings hitting the woodwork and Coutinho scoring but was offside. We did finally manage to get a goal with Barbosa on his début running on to great ball from substitute Correa
We the went away to Manchester City where we suffered a 4-0 defeat, we played pretty poor all game and the only chance we had was Benteke coming off the bench and hitting the bar
After the 4-0 smashing to City we was determined to bounce back with a win Barbosa helped us early on with a great strike from the edge of the area flying in the bottom corner. Son Heung-Ming the levelled the scoring just 3 minutes later. it was then ended to end football both teams had the chances to take the lead but nether could do it, Until once again the young brazilian popped up taking the ball around Lloris and placing it in too the net.
After the win we hosted Chelsea at home and we know if we want to fight for top 4 or even the title we need to be at least a point in some of our games agaisnt the "top 4". Today wasnt that day with another 4-0 defeat and not one shot on target
After another 4-0 smashing we knew we had to bounce back from it again and he did just that with a 3-0 at villa park Jordan Ibe scoring after a brilliant run through the Villa defence. Skrtel the made it 2-0 with a bullet header from a free kick swung in by Coutinho. Ibe then got his second of the game before coming off after a brilliant ball from Barbosa
Player of the Month

Gabriel Barbosa

with 3 goals 2 assists and 2 POM the monthly award goes to Barbosa who has hit the ground running in his first season at Liverpool
Our first Europa league game seen us face Legia Warszawa where we picked up a 5-0 win with Moreno scoring 2 and Ings, Firmino and correa getting on the score sheet

The 5-0 win put us in second place in our group
We then went up against Sunderland. We was all over them all game but could only find the net on the 54th minute with a well placed shot from Barbosa to give him his 4th goal on 6 games we then did well to hold on to our lead as Jordan ibe went off injured and Dennis appiah was shown a second yellow
