Heartbreaking...
Griffo: So heartbreaking! I was absolutely gutted to concede that last goal... One of the best cup runs I've played through though, and for a first season it's not too bad :) Thanks for following btw, next update might take a little while as I'm going away for a couple of days.
Gutting to lose it so late!

Barça starlet set for Celta

- Sandro Ramirez joins los Celestes on loan until the end of the season.

- Celta's loan players also return from their respective clubs.

The forward spent last season on loan at Real Oviedo.

With the transfer window open, Claude Makélélé has made his first foray into the transfer market to improve his squad. To this end, he has secured the loan of Barcelona's 20 year old Sandro Ramirez. The La Masia graduate, who can play up front or on both wings, will hope to impress following his move to Galicia, having spent last season at Real Oviedo, where he scored 13 goals in 33 appearances. "I'm very happy to be playing with Celta." Sandro told Marca. "They've got an extremely talented squad, as anyone can see from the amazing season they had last year. After my season in the Liga Adelante, its good to play in one of the best leagues in the world, and I can only see my time here being good." Claude Makélélé also spoke to our reporter regarding the deal. "Sandro is a remarkable player, and we're very lucky to have him join us for the season ahead. I see his ideal position as on the right wing, however he will probably put in a few appearances up front. All in all, I'm just very pleased that we've got such a talented young man in our team."

Additionally, Celta's loanees have returned from their teams. Midfielder Alex Lopez and centre back David Costas, who were at Sheffield Wednesday and Mallorca respectively, are the pick of said players, and will very likely form a part of Celta's squad for next season. Young prospect Yelko Pino, who was at Lugo last season, has moved to recently promoted Almeria on loan. Young midfielders Borja Fernandez, who was at Mirandes, and Josep Señe, returning from Zaragoza are back at the club after stints at their Liga Adelante teams, and have been added to Celta's team.

Deep lying playmaker Alex Lopez has returned from his spell in England's Sky Bet Championship, where he made 20 appearances and scored one goal.
Keep building! Good stuff!
Looking strong for this season :D
Jack and Griffo: Thanks so much guys, glad to see you're enjoying it. Next update will be up soon :)

Drazic signed for Celta in August 2015.

In more transfer news for Celta, two of their Serbian players, Nemanja Radoja and Dejan Drazic, have departed the club until the end of the season. The two of them have left for fellow Liga BBVA teams, Drazic heading for Espanyol, and Radoja signing with Andalusian team Granada. When asked about the double deal, Makélélé said "Both of them are fantastic players. When you've got players of this caliber in the team, the most important thing is for them to be playing regularly. Dejan [Drazic] especially has found it challenging to break into the team, with Theo Bongonda and our other recent signing, Pablo Sarabia, both demonstrating great form this season. Nemanja's [Radoja] situation is mostly the same, our captain Augusto Fernandez has been superb, and players like Daniel Wass and Levy Madinda have been excellent alongside him. Therefore the best move for the both of them is to get lots of playing time under their belt in the same league."

In other news, Celta's on loan players have left back to their clubs. Emmanuel Mammana and Rodrigo De Paul have both returned to River Plate and Valencia respectively. "While we did try to secure a permanent deal for Rodrigo [De Paul], the price Valencia were quoting was just too much." said Makélélé of the two players. "We were considering a transfer for Emmanuel [Mammana] too, but with the return of David Costas, I'm sure that we've got enough defenders for the season ahead." Both players have had good seasons while on loan at Balaidos, with Rodrigo De Paul even scoring Celta's goal in the Spanish Cup final. Mammana, despite only being a backup member of the squad, has played well whenever he's been called upon, even scoring a goal against reigning champions Barcelona in the league. However, both of these players have now returned to their clubs.

De Paul, formerly of Racing Club, scored Celta's goal in the Spanish Cup final.
That haircut is horrendous!!
Griffo: His nickname at Celta is "Vegeta", I think you can see why, hahaha.

Heartbreaking news for the los Celestes faithful, as Celta Vigo talisman Iago Aspas has left for a Premier League, again. In almost a repeat of his €9,000,000 transfer to Liverpool in 2013, the Moaña-born forward has joined the Citizens for double the amount 3 years later. A number of Europe's top teams have been in contention to sign Aspas, with Juventus, Napoli, and Arsenal submitting similar bids, but this year's Champions League winners have managed to snap up the former Liverpool player. "We're very sad to see Iago leave." Claude Makélélé told us, "I did try to convince him to stay, but he was adamant that his career progression lay away from Celta. Obviously, the success of Manchester City and their recent European glory is a huge pull, and I'm sure Iago will live up to the expectations of Jurgen Klopp." On the disappointment of the fans on the transfer, the Frenchman said "I understand where they're coming from. I'm equally let down, after playing such a vital role in our season, I was looking forward to him replicating some of those performances in the coming months. Like I said, I talked to him, asked him not to leave, but he's made his decision and we can only wish him the best."

Aspas appeared in 153 official games over the course of six seasons and scored 50 goals for Celta from 2006-2013.

After coming through the ranks at Celta Vigo, Aspas made his debut for the Galicians in 2007, playing a vital part in Celta's return to the top flight for the first time in more than five years. After further impressive performances in the Liga BBVA, Premier League side Liverpool signed him for around €9,000,000 in 2013, making his debut in August of that year. He scored in the FA Cup for the Reds, but never notched up a goal in the league. After playing second fiddle to Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, Aspas moved on loan to Sevilla, and scored an impressive six goals in a Spanish Cup match against Sabadell. The Andalusian side acquired him permanently in the summer of 2015 for €6,000,000, but immediately sold him on the club where he made his name for €5,000,000. Since rejoining, Aspas has had a fantastic season, netting 12 goals and racking up 9 assists in all competitions.
Now that is a fee and a half! One small suggestion is that you should split up your reports into more paragraphs, rather than big blocks of writing. However, a great update as always! :)
Huge fee for an average player when it comes to English football, don't think he has the physicality to keep up with it, enjoying this so far. :)
Jack: Thanks buddy, will bear that in mind for my next updates.

AliciaWAFC: Thanks! :D
WE REALLLYYYY LIKE HIM!
IAGO ASPAS!
IAGO ASPAS!

I would happily have Aspas sign with City purely for his chant haha!
