Toulouse have returned to form and shown some incredible consistency throughout September. In their first five fixtures of the month, Toulouse won 3-1 against Angers SCO, Bayern Leverkusen, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain and Girondins de Bordeaux in an impressive effort considering the quality of the sides.

Barcelona ended the run of good results, ironically coming away with a 3-1 victory over Toulouse. In the final fixture of the month, Toulouse and AS Monaco played out a 2-2 draw.


After joining Toulouse during the January transfer window last season, Tiemoue Bakayoko has proven a tremendous asset for Le TFC, becoming one of the clubs most consistent players. Bakayoko has added some bite into the Toulouse midfield, providing great protection for his back four and also chipping in with two goals and two assists during the month.

His strength on the ball alongside his terrific determination and work rate has seen Bakayoko become one of the leading ball winning midfielders in Ligue 1.


A good month of results sees Toulouse advance up the table into fourth. Despite a poor month, Olympique Lyonnais remain on top of the table trailed by AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.

At the bottom of the table, Angers SCO remain the only team yet to win a game this season but are still above recently promoted US Orleans who have lost eight games out of ten this season.


Toulouse have got off to a good start to their UEFA Champions League campaign, sitting in second equal on points with Bayern Leverkusen but currently hold the advantage over their German rivals. In the next set of fixtures, Toulouse are set to face Viktoria Pizen in the next round whereas Bayern Leverkusen will face Barcelona.

After enjoying a run of good form last month, Toulouse have managed to carry it over into October by winning all four of their games this month. Starting off with a home fixture against FC Nantes, Wissam Ben Yedder collected a brace as Toulouse came away with a 2-1 victory.

Next up, Kelechi Iheanacho claimed a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory in the UEFA Champions League fixture against Viktoria Pizen. Another brace from Wissam Ben Yedder saw Toulouse come away with a comfortable 4-1 victory over FC Lorient before the final game of the month saw a 6-1 demolition from Toulouse against AS Saint-Etienne in which Wissam Ben Yedder came away with a hat-trick.


After missing the first month of the season through injury, Wissam Ben Yedder has made up for lost time and has put together his most impressive month at the club since he joined Toulouse in 2010. In only three matches, Ben Yedder has scored an incredible seven goals during October as well as contributing with two assists.

There was a large amount of interest in Ben Yedder last season which died down after he decided to sign a new contract with Toulouse. Considering his current form and his recent recall into the French national team, it is expected that a number of clubs will show interest once again.


Continuing to move up the table, Toulouse find themselves in third position, two points behind leaders Paris-Saint Germain with a game in hand. Despite a loss in form, Olympique Lyonnais remain second with AS Monaco sitting in fourth.

Stade Rennais FC are the surprise at the bottom of the table, finding themselves amongst the relegation candidates despite finishing third in the last two seasons. Below them are US Orleans and Angers SCO who will both need to find form in order to avoid being left behind by the other sides above them.


After reaching the halfway point of the group stage, Toulouse are well positioned to advance to the next round of the UEFA Champions League. The key fixture upcoming for Toulouse in Group G is against Bayern Leverkusen at BayArena, should they win or draw they will more than likely qualify but should they lose a result against Barcelona will be needed for them to advance.

A nice start to the season mate, those last 3 fixtures next month look tough, I'm not sure about you but Reims are always tough opp in my save.

Some great results there mate, back in the title race and I think you can begin dreaming of a place in the Round of 16 in the UCL! Great job keeping hold of Ben Yedder because it looks like he's going to be even more instrumental this year!
