• Arribage has turned down Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and France
• The 47-year-old has agreed to a new contact which will see him at the club until 2022
• Toulouse now travel to North America where they will begin their pre-season preparations
Despite an incredible amount of interest in his services over the past few weeks, manager Dominique Arribage has confirmed that he will remain with Toulouse, turning down Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and France. Arribage has agreed to a new contact with Toulouse which will see him earn €13,750 per week until 2022.
Since joining the club in 2015, Arribage has won five trophies with Toulouse including winning the Ligue 1 title in the 2016/17 season. His performances in European football have also impressed, leading Toulouse past the group stage in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League in the past two seasons.
“It is very hard to turn down the likes of Manchester United and Atletico Madrid but what we have as a club at Toulouse is something I just cannot see my life without.” said Arribage. “One day I may leave Toulouse but I will only do so when I no longer believe I am the right man for the job.” he added.
“We are absolutely thrilled that Dominique has elected to stay, it is a tremendous boost to everyone at the club.” said Toulouse chairman Olivier Sadran. “We can now move forward with our plans and begin preparing for the upcoming season.” he added.
Toulouse will soon depart for their pre-season tour of North America where they will face sides from the Canada, Mexico and the United States before their season commences with the French Champions Trophy where French Cup holders Toulouse will face Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
