Unlucky against PSG! Ligue 1 has a rather odd look for you, but hopefully that means theres plenty of room for you to push up the table!
Keep pushing for those European places.. still a long way to go
Progressing in the cup still and a solid month in the league, definitely time to push for Europe.

Toulouse found themselves back in form as they put together an impressive month in January. The month started with a 2-1 loss to third placed OGC Nice but in that match Toulouse showed signs of their early season form.

Next they faced second placed surprise packets FC Nantes and won in convincing fashion and then defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the French Cup to send the Toulouse fans into raptures. Continuing their fine form, Toulouse secured a dominant 2-0 victory over rivals Montpellier HSC and continued their form into a 2-1 victory over relegation candidates GFC Ajaccio.

In their final match of the month, Toulouse found themselves 2-0 down and a player short after Tongo Doumbia was sent off in the 15th minute, Wissam Ben Yedder would go onto collect a brace in the second half to earn Toulouse a point in an incredible display from the entire team.

After an incredible run of performances, Oscar Trejo found himself not only named Player Of The Month for Toulouse but also named Player Of The Month for Ligue 1 in February.

Oscar Trejo has been considered the main reason in the reversal of form for Toulouse and it Is to no surprise that the form slump for the club earlier in the season occurred when Trejo was injured.

After three seasons with Toulouse, Trejo is considered the best player at the club and his partnership with winger and fellow countryman Cristian Pavon has been terrific to watch.

Paris Saint-Germain extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to thirteen and maintain their incredible goal difference. continue to build on their incredible goal difference. High flying FC Nantes will have to fight off competition from Stade Rennais, OGC Nice and Olympique Lyonnais as the sides fight it out for the Champions League places.

The middle of the table sees two groups form but it would only require a few results either way to see this change once again. Montpellier HSC and AS Saint-Etienne have taken action over their poor results with both clubs sacking their managers. Montpellier HSC have made an incredible move with Zinedine Zidane agreeing to terms to manage the club with AS Saint-Etienne yet to announce who will fill the position.

The relegation candidates in Ligue 1 have yet to find form and are struggling to keep pace with the sides above them.

In an incredible result, Toulouse managed to knock out tournament favourites Paris Saint-Germain. The sides found themselves with scores level at 2-2 after only 20 minutes and a terrific defensive display from Toulouse saw the match enter extra time and eventually penalties.

Predrag Rajkovic would become the hero with Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder missing the opening penalty, Rajkovic managed to make three saves to see Toulouse through to the quarter final.

The draw has been more favourable this time around for Toulouse, drawing a fixture against Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine.

Injury Report

Etienne Didot

Etienne Didot suffered a severe gash to his leg during the fixture against Stade Rennais at the end of the month. He is expected to miss the French Cup Quarter-Final as well as the Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique de Marseille. The 32-year-old midfielder has been at Toulouse for eight seasons and is currently in terrific form which has seen him attract interest from English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.

Toulouse are set to face Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine in the French Cup Quarter Final in what appears to be a very favourable draw.

In the remaining fixtures of the month, Toulouse face three sides who have underperformed so far this season. First they travel to face Olympique de Marseille, who currently sit in 16th despite being predicted to finish in the top four. Next, Toulouse play Girondins de Bordeaux who were expected to finish 7th and are currently in 12th position. To finish the month, Toulouse play LOSC Lille away from home with LOSC Lille currently positioned in 15th despite being predicted to finish 5th.

Each fixture in Ligue 1 in February for Toulouse will be tough as if these squads play to their potential they should all be considered favourites heading into the match.

Continuing their run in the French Cup, Toulouse defeated AS Nancy Lorraine 1-0 to find themselves amongst the final four teams left in the competition. They then travelled to Stade Velodrome to face Olympique Marseille, losing 3-1 in a poor performance.

Toulouse immediately bounced back by defeating Girondins de Bordeaux with Etienne Didot putting in a terrific performance pulling all the strings from the midfield to see his side come away with a 3-1 victory. To end the month, a late goal from substitute Kelechi Iheanacho proved the difference as Toulouse defeated LOSC Lille 1-0 in a tight affair.

After signing with Toulouse at the start of the season, Cristian Pavon has slowly developed over the course of the season and had begun to find consistency in his performances. During March, the Argentinian provided one goal and three assists while his combination with fellow countryman Oscar Trejo continues to flourish.

Throughout the season, the 20-year-old has improved in leaps and bounds technically and is expected to continue to make rapid improvements in the other areas of his game. Underpinning his skill, it is the increased work rate of Pavon that has also seen him improve with only William Matheus covering more ground on average within the Toulouse squad.

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to seal the Ligue 1 title at some stage during the next month with a fourteen point lead at the top of the table with seven games to go. Below them, a number of teams will be fighting it out in order to qualify for the European competitions.

AS Saint-Etienne have hired Safet Susic as manager, despite starting the season off well AS Saint-Etienne have performed well below expectations with the media predicted they would finish in the European places at the start of the season. In the relegation zone, it is expected that GFC Ajaccio and SC Bastia will be playing in the Ligue 2 next season with Angers SCO still capable of moving up the table.

Continuing their terrific run in the French Cup, Toulouse have gone through to the semi-final after a 1-0 victory over Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine after a goal from Oscar Trejo in the 37th minute.

The semi-final draw sees Toulouse face SC Bastia who currently sit in last place in Ligue 1. The other semi-final sees Stade Rennais FC who currently sit in second place in Ligue 1 go into the match s heavy favourites against Ligue 2 side AJ Auxerre.

Injury Report

Francois Moubandje

Francois Moubandje has suffered an ankle injury during training and is expected to be unavailable for the next two weeks. The Swiss defender is in his third season with Toulouse and is currently trying to press his claims to earn a position in the starting side.

Starting the month, Toulouse face two sides positioned low on the Ligue 1 table, firstly they play relegation candidates Stade Malherbe Caen followed by a fixture against last placed SC Bastia. Toulouse then face FC Lorient in what could prove a very important match up in regards to the battle for places in the European competitions.

Next, Toulouse face SC Bastia for the second time in the month as both sides face each other in the French Cup semi-final. In the final match of the month, Toulouse face a tough test against Olympique Lyonnais in another match which will have an impact on the battle for spots in the European competitions.
Another good month mate, Toulouse are on the up!
Doing awesome man!
Another solid month which still sees yoy fighting for those European spots, a cup final could also await so good luck..

Marseille can't seem to get away from that relegation zone either

Toulouse Advance To French Cup Final
A brace from Wissam Ben Yedder sees Toulouse go through the final of the French Cup

Toulouse 2 - 1 SC Bastia

Toulouse went into the French Cup semi-final as heavy favourites facing relegation threatened SC Bastia. As expected, SC Bastia came out high paced and aggressive looking to assert control from the beginning of the match but Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder who went into the match as the leading scorer in Ligue 1 managed to get on the end of a long ball from Gabriel Obertan and open the scoring in the 14th minute.

Toulouse would continue to control the match until Gael Danic scored against the run of play in the 40th minute, getting onto a cross from Apodi. It was expected that the sides would head into the break on even terms but SC Bastia dropped off after scoring and it was Wissam Ben Yedder who took advantage, heading home an accurate cross from William Matheus to give Toulouse the advantage.

After the break, SC Bastia picked up the physicality of the contest with a number of players receiving yellow cards but it was Toulouse who maintained control and possession throughout the half. Despite the physical nature of play from SC Bastia, Toulouse managed to prevent them from getting a shot on target for the remainder of the match and despite missing a few easy chances they came away with the victory.

The other semi-final in the French Cup sees Stade Rennais FC go into the match as heavy favourites against Ligue 2 side AJ Auxerre. The final is set to take place at the Stade de France on Saturday the 21st of May.
