Toulouse found themselves back in form as they put together an impressive month in January. The month started with a 2-1 loss to third placed OGC Nice but in that match Toulouse showed signs of their early season form.
Next they faced second placed surprise packets FC Nantes and won in convincing fashion and then defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the French Cup to send the Toulouse fans into raptures. Continuing their fine form, Toulouse secured a dominant 2-0 victory over rivals Montpellier HSC and continued their form into a 2-1 victory over relegation candidates GFC Ajaccio.
In their final match of the month, Toulouse found themselves 2-0 down and a player short after Tongo Doumbia was sent off in the 15th minute, Wissam Ben Yedder would go onto collect a brace in the second half to earn Toulouse a point in an incredible display from the entire team.
After an incredible run of performances, Oscar Trejo found himself not only named Player Of The Month for Toulouse but also named Player Of The Month for Ligue 1 in February.
Oscar Trejo has been considered the main reason in the reversal of form for Toulouse and it Is to no surprise that the form slump for the club earlier in the season occurred when Trejo was injured.
After three seasons with Toulouse, Trejo is considered the best player at the club and his partnership with winger and fellow countryman Cristian Pavon has been terrific to watch.
Paris Saint-Germain extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to thirteen and maintain their incredible goal difference. continue to build on their incredible goal difference. High flying FC Nantes will have to fight off competition from Stade Rennais, OGC Nice and Olympique Lyonnais as the sides fight it out for the Champions League places.
The middle of the table sees two groups form but it would only require a few results either way to see this change once again. Montpellier HSC and AS Saint-Etienne have taken action over their poor results with both clubs sacking their managers. Montpellier HSC have made an incredible move with Zinedine Zidane agreeing to terms to manage the club with AS Saint-Etienne yet to announce who will fill the position.
The relegation candidates in Ligue 1 have yet to find form and are struggling to keep pace with the sides above them.
In an incredible result, Toulouse managed to knock out tournament favourites Paris Saint-Germain. The sides found themselves with scores level at 2-2 after only 20 minutes and a terrific defensive display from Toulouse saw the match enter extra time and eventually penalties.
Predrag Rajkovic would become the hero with Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder missing the opening penalty, Rajkovic managed to make three saves to see Toulouse through to the quarter final.
The draw has been more favourable this time around for Toulouse, drawing a fixture against Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine.

Etienne Didot
Etienne Didot suffered a severe gash to his leg during the fixture against Stade Rennais at the end of the month. He is expected to miss the French Cup Quarter-Final as well as the Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique de Marseille. The 32-year-old midfielder has been at Toulouse for eight seasons and is currently in terrific form which has seen him attract interest from English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.
Toulouse are set to face Ligue 2 side AS Nancy Lorraine in the French Cup Quarter Final in what appears to be a very favourable draw.
In the remaining fixtures of the month, Toulouse face three sides who have underperformed so far this season. First they travel to face Olympique de Marseille, who currently sit in 16th despite being predicted to finish in the top four. Next, Toulouse play Girondins de Bordeaux who were expected to finish 7th and are currently in 12th position. To finish the month, Toulouse play LOSC Lille away from home with LOSC Lille currently positioned in 15th despite being predicted to finish 5th.
Each fixture in Ligue 1 in February for Toulouse will be tough as if these squads play to their potential they should all be considered favourites heading into the match.
