Iheanacho returns to Toulouse on loan from Manchester City

• The Nigerian forward is set to return on loan to Toulouse
• Manchester City manager Diego Simeone believes Iheanacho has great potential
• The 20-year-old believes an increase in fixtures will see him receive more game time

After scoring four goals in thirteen appearances last season for Toulouse, Kelechi Iheanacho is set to return to the club on loan for the 2016/17 season.

“Kelechi performed well last season for Toulouse and we want to see him continue to develop once again this season.” said Manchester City manager Diego Simeone who took over from Manuel Pellegrini after last season. “He is a player who has great potential, if he is able to remain focused during his time on loan I believe he will realise that potential.” he added.

Iheanacho made all his appearances from the bench for Toulouse last season with Wissam Ben Yedder staying injury free and performing terrifically for the duration of the season. Heading into the 2016/17 season, Iheanacho believes he will receive more game time as he looks to continue his development as a footballer.

“I am excited to return to the club after performing so well last season.” said Iheanacho. “The increase in fixtures due to playing in the Europa League will give me more opportunities at the club as well as allowing me to gain experience playing against teams from different countries around Europe.” he added.
Nice signing mate! Hopefully he can really perform for you this season!
Good to see kelechi back at the club, won't be easy disposing of Ben Yedder though

Boga goes on loan to a French club for the second season in a row

• Jeremie Boga joins Toulouse on a season long loan
• Playing for Stade Rennais last season, Boga scored seven goals and provided eight assists
• The Chelsea youngster adds depth ahead Toulouse’s UEFA Europa League campaign

Toulouse have secured the services of Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga on loan for the upcoming season. Jeremie Boga played for Stade Rennais in the Ligue 1 last season, managing to score seven goals and provide eight assists for the club.

“I am looking forward to playing another season in France as well as playing in the UEFA Europa League.” said Boga. “When I played against Toulouse I could see just how talented some of the players at this club are, I am looking forward to playing with them and building on all that they achieved last season.” he added.

“Jeremie Boga performed tremendously for Stade Rennais last season and his addition to our squad will certainly help us.” said Toulouse manager Dominic Arribage. “Jeremie is only going to continue to improve and I believe he has the ability to provide a major impact for us this season.” he added.

Boga will add great pace and tremendous dribbling skills to Toulouse this season and his presence will add depth to the Toulouse squad, something that it requires with the heavy schedule ahead of them this season.
Very good singing, will definitely add alot of flair to the side, hopefully he can help Ben Yedder score even more

Kana-Biyik moves to Italy after a two years with Toulouse

• Kana-Biyik spent two years at Toulouse after leaving Stade Rennais
• The 27-year-old is set to earn €12,000 per week
• The defender will join Sampdoria before the start of the Serie A season

Sampdoria have sealed the transfer of Toulouse defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik for €4 million although the deal may potentially rise to €5 million. The contract signed by Kana-Biyik will see him earn €12,000 per week until 2020.

The 27-year-old performed well for Toulouse last season, making 44 appearances throughout the season and being a key player during their successful French Cup campaign.

“I am happy for Jean to go onto a new challenge, he has played football in France for his entire career and I believe he has the ability to succeed in Italy.” said Toulouse manager Dominique Arribage. “Our fans will be sad to see him go but we have players within our club who are ready to step up and they will now get the opportunity to do so.” he added.

“I have spent twelve seasons in France playing football and I feel now is the right time for a change.” Said Kana-Biyik. “I am looking forward to the new challenge and a new environment, I believe it will help me grow as a footballer.” he added.

Kana-Biyik will join Sampdoria before the start of the Serie A season with the clubs first match of the season set to be against Lazio.
Hopefully this can help the financial situation a little bit and that you have a good replacement already in the squad or waiting in the youth squads!

Certainly helps the finance side of things!

This should give you the funds to strengthen somewhat... How will you be fitting Ben Yedder and Iheanacho in the same team?

Or is he simply backup

Toulouse embarked on a tour of Denmark and Holland for their pre-season this year and performed impressively throughout. In their time in Denmark, Tonga Doumbia and Issiaga Syila impressed as Toulouse defeated Danish First Division sides FC Roskilde and AC Horsens comfortably but the French side only managed a draw against Danish Superliga side FC Randers.

Next up, the side travelled to Holland and won comfortably in all four matches to see the club entering the season in impressive form. Dragos Grigore starred during the tour of Holland as the defender managing to score four goals across four matches as well as defending impressively throughout.

Injury Report

The Toulouse squad currently has a clean bill of health.

After their victory in the French Cup final last season, Toulouse are set to face reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris-Saint Germain to compete for the Champions Trophy to open the season.

They then face a relatively easy start to the Ligue 1 season, Toulouse go into the fixtures as favourites against Stade de Reims who performed above expectation last season. Following that match, they face two newly promoted sides in FC Metz and Valenciennes.

After the initial fixtures, Toulouse face Stade Rennais who they met in the French Cup final last season, Toulouse have won three of the past four meetings between the two sides with the other match being drawn. To end the month, they travel to face En Avant de Guingamp who have not managed to pick up a point in their past two matches against Toulouse.
Go smash PSG, one of us should get something out of 2 cup games against them! Steady start to Ligue 1 to come, hopefully you can continue from where you left off
