Brazil will hold their second major event in two years, hosting the 2016 Olympics

• Pavon and Mammana set to represent Argentina at the Olympic Games
• Toulouse will possibly be without the pair for the start of the season
• The first fixture for Argentina will be against Germany on the 4th of August

The football squads for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro have been announced with Toulouse set to be represented by Cristian Pavon and Emanuel Mammana who have both been named to play for Argentina during the tournament.

“I believe fitness play a key role with a high workload required throughout the tournament.” said Argentina manager Gerardo Martino. “We are always faced with high expectations and this tournament will not be different, I hope our players thrive under the pressure.” he added.

Toulouse will possibly be without both Cristian Pavon and Emanuel Mammana for the start of the season depending on results in the tournament. “I am happy that Cristian and Emanuel get to participate in an event as special as the Olympic Games, we will manage without them and I wish them all the luck in the world.” said Toulouse manager Dominic Arribage.

The first fixture of the tournament will be played between Iran and Sweden on the 4th of August with the first match for Argentina set to be against Germany later that day.
Tough blow but a gold medal with Argentina might work wonders for their morale and ultimately for you!

Toulouse are set to face some new challenges heading into the season with the squad now facing an increase in fixtures after qualifying for the UEFA Europa League. Despite this, Toulouse will be looking to take advantage of the opportunity to add another trophy to the cabinet before the season starts.

“We performed well above expectation last season and we hope to continue to prove those that doubt us wrong.” said Toulouse manager Dominique Arribage. “We are certainly not afraid of Paris Saint-Germain and we will go out and attack them from the first minute.” he added.

Going into the match, Toulouse will be without Cristian Pavon and Emmanuel Mammana who will both be representing Argentina at the Olympic Games in Brazil.

Currently displaying a complete dominance of French football, Paris Saint-Germain will be looking for their fourth consecutive French Champions Trophy win heading into the match against Toulouse. Despite being considered strong favourites, Paris Saint-Germain will not underestimate Toulouse after they knocked them out of the French Cup last year.

“All the credit must go to Dominique Arribage and his squad, they fought hard last year and managed to pull off the upset but that result will only motivate my players heading into this fixture.” said Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc. “Heading into the new season we will be looking to match our achievements from last year and hopefully perform much stronger in the European competitions.” he added.

Paris Saint-Germain have spent an incredible €75 million so far in the transfer window with fans and pundits alike left wondering how any side in the Ligue 1 could manage to compete against them.
Come on Toulouse! Go kick some PSG ass!

Toulouse Shock PSG In Champions Trophy

A frustrated Paris Saint-Germain embrace after losing to Toulouse on penalties

Toulouse 0 - 0 Paris Saint-Germain

In incredible circumstances, Toulouse have claimed their second trophy under manager Dominique Arribage after they shocked Paris Saint-Germain, winning the Champions Trophy on penalites. Toulouse famously defeated Paris Saint-Germain during their run in the French Cup last season, eventually going on to claim the trophy and have now managed to repeat the feat once again in claiming another title.
Paris Saint-Germain controlled a majority of the match with clear physical and technical dominance over their opponents but Toulouse stayed disciplined and managed to stay in the game. Both sides had their chances to score but the statistics show that the defensive discipline from Toulouse made a true difference with Paris Saint-Germain having an incredible amount of shots during the match but only having the same amount of shots on goal as Toulouse.

The game went into a penalty shoot-out with Toulouse getting off to the worst start possible after Oscar Trejo managed to send the ball into the stands. A save from Predrag Rajkovic managed to bring it back to level terms, stopping an attempt from Thiago Silva. It was that man Predrag Rajkovic who appeared again, this time saving an attempt from Dennis Appiah allowing William Matheus the opportunity to step up and calmly seal the victory for Toulouse.

“It is unbelievable what we have managed to achieve, it feels like a dream.” said Toulouse vice-captain Etienne Didot. “At the start of last year we were amongst the favourites to be relegated and now a year later we have won two trophies and are preparing to play European football… incredible.” he added.

Both sides will now prepare for the upcoming Ligue 1 season with Paris Saint-Germain expected to win the title once again and Toulouse will have to adjust to the weight of expectation placed on their shoulders after achieving so much success in the past year.
Fantastic result man! Congrats on the trophy! And congrats on the clean sheet, I struggle to keep a clean sheet against them so all in all, a job well done!

Boateng Signs For Toulouse

http://s105.photobucket.com/user/chrisgriffin89/media/kevin-prince-boateng-schalke_zpsu0isc4li.jpg.html
Boateng will add experience and depth to the Toulouse squad

• The Ghanaian arrives at Toulouse after previously playing for Schalke on a free transfer
• The 29-year-old is expected to earn €35,500 per week during his time at the club until 2020
• Boateng is set to attend an intensive language course in order to learn French

Kevin-Prince Boateng has signed with Toulouse on a free transfer after his contract with Schalke expired at the end of the season. Boateng has signed a contact believed to be worth €35,500 per week until 2020.

After three seasons with the club, Boateng left Schalke on a free transfer after not being able to secure the game time he wanted leading to him performing poorly and lacking fitness. Boateng moves to Toulouse without the ability to speak French and will undertake an intensive language course in order to learn the language.

“I am looking forward to a new challenge with Toulouse and playing in the Europa League this season.” said Boateng. “I am prepared to play in any position and do whatever it takes so that my time at Toulouse is successful.” he added.

The signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng will add depth and experience to the Toulouse squad with the midfielder having previously played in the English Premier League, Bundesliga and Serie A as well as in both the Champions League and Europa League.
Terrific signing man! Once he settles in he'll be a star!
