In their first fixture of the month, Toulouse finally lost their first Ligue 1 fixture in a 2-1 defeat to OGC Nice with Hatem Ben Arfa putting in a terrific performance for the home side. In their next fixture, Toulouse bounced back in a dominant 2-0 victory over Girondins de Bordeaux.

Next up, Toulouse put in a solid performance but were outclassed by Sevilla in their UEFA Europa League fixture with the Spanish side coming away with a 2-0 victory. A goal from Kelechi Iheanacho saw Toulouse defeated last placed FC Nantes before finishing the month with a 1-1 draw against FC Lorient.


For the second month in a row, Gabriel Obertan has won the Player Of The Month award after continuing with his impressive form from last month.

“When we brought Gabriel to the club we knew what he was capable of and he has managed to exceed all of our expectations.” said Toulouse manager Dominique Arribage. “We have started brilliantly so far this season and we will be looking to maintain our current form for as long as possible,” he added.


Despite finally losing their first game, Toulouse remain at the top of the Ligue 1 table and have maintained a decent gap between themselves and their nearest rival in Stade Rennais who currently sit in second place.

Paris Saint-Germain continue to struggle this season and have drawn eight of their thirteen fixtures this season to see them sitting in fifth place. Their poor results in not only Ligue 1 but also the UEFA Champions League where they find themselves on the bottom of their group sees manager Roberto Mancini placed under a tremendous amount of pressure to keep his job with the club.

FC Nantes struggles continue, finding themselves still at the bottom of the table after another poor month of results. Despite this, the club has shown loyalty to manager Michel Der Zakarian although he will need to turn things around sooner rather than later otherwise he could find himself looking for another job.


At the halfway point of the group stage, Toulouse find themselves in a position where they could still qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League. Their next fixture in the competition sees them travel to Spain to face Sevilla who defeated them 2-0 in their previous fixture.

Good results in tbe league so far

Toulouse put together almost a perfect month as they returned to form in November. Starting their month with a 1-1 draw against Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League followed by a 1-0 victory over Racing Club de Lens after Kelechi Iheanacho secured the victory with a goal in the 90th minute.

Taking advantage of their recent poor form, Toulouse claimed a 2-1 victory against Paris Saint-Germain before a comfortable 2-0 victory over Standard Liege in the UEFA Europa League. To finish the month, Toulouse put in a tremendous performance, coming away with a 3-0 victory.


After recently returning from injury, Etienne Didot has continued his role as the driving force in the midfield for Toulouse as well as scoring two goals and providing an assist. The 33-year-old is in his ninth season with Toulouse and has played 246 games for the club so far in his career.

Didot was also awarded the Ligue 1 Goal of the Month for November for his magnificent strike from the edge of the box against LOSC Lille in their 3-0 victory.


Toulouse maintain their impressive lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table with Montpellier HSC, AS Monaco, Stade Rennais FC and Olympique Lyonnais grouped below them. Incredibly, Paris Saint-Germain are yet to return to form with manager Roberto Mancini under increasing pressure to produce results. If Paris Saint-Germain fail to win the title this season, it will be the first time since 2011/12 that another team would be crowned Ligue 1 champions.

FC Nantes have sacked Michel Der Zakarian after a terrible start to the season with players at the club losing confidence in the manager. A number of contenders have been rumoured to take the role include Didier Deschamps, Herve Renard or Hubert Fournier.


With only one round left in the group stage, the winner of the match between Toulouse and FC Kobenhavn will advance to the next stage of the competition, should the match result in a draw, Toulouse will advance due to having a superior goal difference. Sevilla are guaranteed to go through to the next round and will face Standard Liege in the final match of the group stage.


Toulouse is set to face LOSC Lille in their first match in the Coupe de la Ligue with Toulouse winning the last match up between the two sides by three goals. Last season, Toulouse was eliminated by Montpellier HSC after losing 3-2 in their opening fixture of the competition.

In a very busy month, Toulouse went undefeated until a major upset in the final fixture of the month. Toulouse found themselves three goals ahead within thirty minutes against FB Kobenhavn, going on to a dominant 3-1 victory. In their next three matches, Toulouse secured draws against Olympique Lyonnais and Stade Malherbe Caen before a Tongo Doumbia brace secured a 2-0 victory over LOSC Lille.

FC Metz suffered at the hands of Toulouse, going down 5-0 with Wissam Ben Yedder and Gabriel Obertan controlling the match throughout. To end the month, Wissam Ben Yedder collected a brace in a 3-1 victory over rivals Montpellier HSC followed by a major upset from Ligue 2 side Chamois Niortais FC in the French Cup, knocking out defending champions Toulouse on penalties.


Continuing to perform impressively this season, Wissam Ben Yedder has been awarded the Player Of The Month award for December and is only four goals away from equalling his goal tally for last season with eighteen games left in the season.

During December, Ben Yedder produced five goals and four assists in six matches. His form has seen a number of teams across Europe interested in his services with West Ham and SL Benfica rumoured to be preparing bids for the January transfer window.

Despite some terrific performances this season in the Ligue 1, he has not been able to repeat this form in the UEFA Europa League. Ben Yedder is yet to score in Europe despite making six appearances so far this season.


Toulouse hold an eleven point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table over Olympique Lyonnais with the next four sides all within striking distance of second place. A good run of form from any of the mid-table clubs could see them find themselves amongst the European places.

At the bottom of the table, FC Nantes have begun to find form since the appointment of former France manager Didier Deschamps. All three sides that were promoted from Ligue 2 last season also find themselves in and around the relegation zone.


Toulouse have drawn Wolfsburg in the First Knockout Round of the UEFA Europa League with the first leg set to take place on the 9th of February at Stadium Municipal. Wolfsburg finished on top of Group C after the group stage and are considered heavy favourites against Toulouse.


After winning the competition last season, Toulouse have failed in their bid to defend the French Cup getting eliminated in their first fixture of the tournament, losing on penalties against Ligue 2 side Chamois Niortais FC.


After defeating LOSC Lille in the previous round, Toulouse are now set to face Montpellier HSC in the Coupe de la Ligue Quarter Final. The match is set to take place at Stade de La Mosson - Mondial 98 on the 10th of January.
