Klubi are now ready for the 2021 Veikkausliiga season after a really good preseason in which Kévin Gauthier experimented with new line ups and tactics. After a very successful Liigacup season Klubi kept up the momentum winning all five matches.
"I felt this was a very positive set of matches as we prepared for the season, I like what we were doing and the mixing up of the lineups had a very positive result. I can't wait to see how we play in the Veikkausliiga and win the third title in a row."
There were many great players this preseason and everyone contributed. There was one player though that stood out above the rest. Gabriel Nilsson had a very positive start to his career at HJK. In the five matches the Valencia loanee scored six goals in the five matches. Nilsson is a midfielder who can play as a center mid and an attacking mid as both a shadow striker and winger.
Now that the preseason is over Klubi look to the league season and the league cup. April starts off with matches against FC Lahti, SJK, newly promoted RoPS, Ilves and IFK Mariehamn. Later on in the month Klubi will be drawn into the Sixth Round of the Suomen Cup. The match is set for a 21 April kickoff and the opponent is still to be determined. The season kicks off in a few days with Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho coming to town on 11 April.
