That goal was fantastic! Great way to welcome you to New Caledonia.

August Recap

Despite drawing rival AS Belep it was a very successful full month of matches for manager Kévin Gauthier. During this time his club seemed to be at a pace that has not been seen in some time. During the month the club would win four out of the five league matches. The only blemish came against Belep in a disappointing 1-1 draw. The key match to the month came against AS Magenta at the start of the month as our club would win 3-0.

" I feel our success this month came from having time to get used to the new style of play I implemented and a few of the key signings that were made last month," said Gauthier. Then he continued on saying, "I had a feeling if we got hot from the start of my tenure we could be challenging for the title, well here we are on 1 September and we are tied for first."

As he said it was the new guys who preformed with the highest praise this month. Newly signed goalkeeper Alex Clement was the main reason for this run. During August he would have four shutouts with three in a row. Also Jamel Kabeu would have a great month scoring five goals. He is currently leading the league with 10.

In cup play Les Rouges et Noirs would kick off the 2015 Coupe de Nouvelle-Calédonie off with a 3-0 victory over AS Belep. In this match the rivals were no match for us as the club was carried by two goals from Jean-Marc Case. With that victory the club will be facing Gaïtcha FCN in the next round. The match is set for a 3:00pm NCT on 12 September.

As the club is starting to wind down the 2015 campaign they will be playing a short September with only two league matches and then one cup match. Despite such a short month the club has a lot to do to get towards the championship and a spot in next years OFC Champions League.

A no defeat moth. Brilliant start in New Caledonia

Very tight at the top mate but you are more than capable of seeing it off and winning the league!

Couldn't ask for a better start! Keep it up.
Tight league, but you're on top which is never a bad thing ;)

September Recap

September was a very disappointing month for the club as they went 0-1-2 in all three matches. For Gauthier he finally got to know what defeat is like and oh boy he is not happy. " This month was such a let down, I can't believe we slipped a place and now have to regroup ourselves," said Gauthier during an interview. With the loss against Gaïtcha the clubs 11 game unbeaten streak has came to an end.

For the Coupe de Nouvelle-Calédonie it was a heart breaking quarter final loss in penalties. The match was full of controversy as defender Jordan Neimbo was awarded a straight red card fort an infraction just outside the box a few minutes after extra time began. With his sending off the club had to fight their way to the penalty round where they would lose after missing a very open opportunity. With that the club now will focus on the league.

October will be the second to last month of the 2015 season. Once again the club will be facing three clubs and are looking to bounce back after a bad September. With four matches remaining in the season our club will need to focus on winning, draws do not help.

Unfortunate that your form dipped and fell down to third man, hopefully you can bounce back and shoot straight up the table again!
Tough month but still all to play for!

October Recap

For the squad the last full month of matches was one of the most important in recent club history. In the three matches the club was looking to get back to top form after a disastrous September. Well they delivered and are back on top. The match of the month came against AS Wetr as the club won 3-1. Jamal Kabeu was the man of the match scoring two goals.

With that the club is down to one more match it is a make or break situation. Everything is on the line as we will be facing AS Auteli on 29 November. To remind everyone we can win the league with a victory if all things go according to plan. Also winning a match gets the club four points. " This break between now and the final match will be vital and that we have to be ready. If we win we will secure the title and I am hoping for the best, said Kévin Gauthier.
Do or die in the final match of the year! Good luck mate :)
I am backing you to get the victory here, good luck!

Under rookie manager Kévin Gauthier AS Mont-Dore have captured their fifth title in club history. For the Red and Whites they needed a win on the final day of the season for them and they were able to achieve that. Before the kickoff the club was four points bellow AS Magenta and would need a win in order to win the league on goal difference.

Thanks to star striker Jamal Kabeu's two goals AS Mont-Dore was able to get the much needed win. Also Jordan Neimbo scored a nice goal. Mont-Dore was expected to win and they did deliver. Goalkeeper Alex Clement had his seventh shutout since joining back in July. Below are the match highlights.

For Kévin Gauthier this is his first ever league win. The 34 year old joined the club back on 1 July when they were in 5th place. It was a great turn around for a club who were predicted to be at mid table at the end of the season. It is also quite an accomplishment since this is his first ever job.

"It is hard to describe how amazing this feels, we worked hard and it showed. Now it is time to focus on the OFC Champions League and get ready to defend the title," said Gauthier.

With that AS Mont-Dore will be returning to the OFC Champions League for the first time since 2012. The competition begins on the 26th of January. For now AS Mont-Dore will be resting up to get ready for next season. Congrats and good luck!
