FK Sutjeska Nikši? announce partnership with Dynamo Kyiv

Igor Surkis and Sutjeska chairman Ranko Jovovic are pleased to announce a new link between Dynamo Kyiv and FK Sutjeska Niksic. Under the terms of the agreement the following will apply with immediate effect:

Dynamo Kyiv will be able to send players on loan to FK Sutjeska Niksic. During the loan spell the player's wage will be paid in full by Dynamo Kyiv. Sutjeska have no obligation to play the player and he may be recalled by Dynamo Kyiv at any time.

Dynamo Kyiv have first option to buy players from FK Sutjeska Niksic. In practice this means that once a bid for a player is accepted by Sutjeska, a bid of the same value from Dynamo Kyiv must also be accepted. It is then up to the player to decide his future.

Dynamo Kyiv will pay Sutjeska an annual fee of €20,000 towards the upkeep of the club.
Very nice start, mate. Hope it'll continue!
Big news, could be a really interesting link, hopefully it serves you well!
A storming pre-season, and a great link up with Kyiv... big things ahead!

Half-season Review

As the Montenegrin First League prepares for an 80-day winter break, we will take a look at the first half of the season for FK Sutjeska Nikši? and how well they have fared under their new manager. Igalia Fovikac has done incredibly well for his first season in management and some players in particular have impressed thoroughly throughout the season.

League Table

Fk Sutjeska Nikši? sit uncomfortably in second position, with the gap between first and seventh only amounting to five points. The side have been languishing between the positions of first and seventh all season due to the small point gap between the teams. With eight wins and eight draws in twenty games, the side have not played badly, but will be wishing that some of their games had ended differently, resulting in the team being positioned more comfortably in the table.

With fixtures coming thick and fast, some of the poorer games can be attributed to fatigue within the squad. At the moment, the side are sitting in a Europa League spot, but will be pushing towards the singular Champions League spot at the top of the table.

Montenegrin Cup

The side have managed to reach the expectations set by the board by reaching the Semi-Final of the Montenegrin cup. Their form in the cup has been good, with three wins, one draw and one loss allowing them to reach the position that they are in now.

Sutjeska have to face Iskra in the Semis and will hope to comfortably beat the side who have been languishing in the relegation zone for the last couple of weeks.

Fixtures: Played and To Play

The fixture list so far is a mass of orange, with the form of the side being very uncertain throughout the season. At the start of the season the side managed to play eight games without being beaten, form they will be hoping to replicate after the break.

With thirteen games left to play in the league, and the majority of them coming at home, Sutjeska will hope that those seven games can be wins, securing them a Europa League place or even the League Title.

Japanese forward Atomu Nabeta has impressed throughout the season, scoring 22 goals in 21 games. He has particularly impressed within the cup, but is also the top scorer in the league, with the next best scorer sitting in second having seven goals less than him.

Another player who has particularly impressed is Nikola Stijepovic, who since the start of the season has featured for the Montenegrin national side twice.

FK Sutjeska Nikšić sign Bogdan Milic amidst other news

FK Sutjeska, who currently sit in second within the Montenegrin First League have signed journeyman striker Bogdan Milic on a free transfer.

The striker stands at 6 feet and seven inches, and will provide the perfect partnership to current league top scorer Atomu Nabeta in the games to come.

The forward has played for the likes of Suwon FC, Osasuna and ADO Den Haag and will join Sutjeska earning €200 a week.

The 28 year old joins on a one year contract, but it is expected that he will sign a longer contract if he performs.

In other news, left-back Nikola Stejipovic who was recently capped twice for Montenegro, has joined German outfit Nurnburg for a fee of around €300,000 and has been replaced by Petrovac left-back Slobodan Lakicevic for a fee of €90,000.
Well that is a tight league and hopefully your additions do well. Nice fee in as well
Cheers Ninja

Fovikac signs new contract

Igalia Fovikac has signed a new contract with FK Sutjeska Nikšić, keeping him at the club until 2017.

The Montenegrin national and former football player has put pen to paper recently, but has taken a pay cut to ensure that the club remains financially stable and hopes that taking the cut will improve the clubs chances within the transfer market.

Fovikac has currently been in charge for just under a year and has impressed during his time with the club, with certain players such as Atomu Nabeta particularly improving under his control.

The thirty-five year old has also impressed with his work in the transfer market, bringing in players that have worked well in the set-up and as well as receiving good money for players that have left.

Igalia Fovikac has recently taken the reigns of the U19 Sutjeska sign, which has seen the side score 23 goals and concede just three with him at the helm. This has come after the side's annual youth intake, and proposes that Fovikac will want to work with the youngsters all the way up until their first team debut.
