AS Roma - The New Dynasty.

AS ROMA

AS Roma are a club who are somewhat bigger than their achievements. Being on of the greatest Italian teams, if you're a football fan you know who AS Roma are. Despite this they've only won the Scudetto three times in the club history - the last victory coming in 2001. They've won the Coppa Italia nine times, winning it back-to-back in 2006/07 and 2007/08.

Somehow, Roma have never won a European trophy, in spite of having some of the greatest players to ever lace up their boots. Cafu and Carlo Ancelotti have played for the club, but some legends still do, specifically El Capitano and probably Roma's greatest ever player, Franseco Totti and the stalwart Daniele De Rossi. Combine this with young, emerging players like Alessandro Florenzi and you are left with a team that deserves more. All Serie A giants, AC Milan, Internazionale, Lazio, Napoli and Roma have been on a downfall since Juventus claimed a stronghold on the Championship; but Roma are a team with potential. If anyone can stop the Old Lady, it's AS Roma.

nice write-up there man! Roma have a good squad, be interesting to see how you get on with them
Good luck mate, Roma have a good squad and are capable of challenging and with a few key names they could push Juve a long way!
@InfraRed - Thanks man, I'm hoping to do well but do need some signings ;)

@mrgriffin2012 - Thanks a lot man! I'm actually using your Ausburg series as a kind of model for this.

Breaking News: Guiseppe Lombardo signs for AS Roma.

9th July 2016.
-
Today AS Roma have confirmed that Guiseppe Lombardo has officially signed a one-year for the club, with plans for a rejuvenation in the squad. This comes off the heels of Luciano Spalletti's firing, after a dispute with President of Associazione Sportiva Roma, James Pallotta.

A club spokesperson stated "Guiseppe can bring great things to the club. If he's influenced by the managers he coached under, we can hope for attacking football and an excitable youth setup."

Lombardo played for AS Roma as a youth player, before an devastating anterior and medial crucial ligament injury ended his career at nineteen. He coached under Carlo Ancelotti, and now at thirty-six has been contracted to his first managerial job.
Good start man.......I've always had a soft spot for Roma and Totti is a legend of the game. I wish you luck. I will have to keep an eye on this.
Could be a very shrewd appointment!
