"DIE KAISERS" THE KINGS

Welcome to this unique journey of magnificent proportions that takes place deep within the Black Forest region of Germany, in Munich, with FC Bayern Munich. This journey will be a long one, well over 10 seasons, and hopefully will grab your attention and keep you entertained. Its a journey based on real events, as its based on the turning around of FC Bayern Munichs aging side and turning them into the force they once were.

Domestically they are dominating, 7 league titles on the bounce(in real life, at the start of the save its 6 on the bounce) , but in the UEFA Champions league, they have been underwhelming to their standards, not having won the competition since 2013 on that famous night where cut inside and shoot merchant Arjen Robben scored THAT late goal to seal Dortmunds fate that evening. This needs to change, Bayern need that UCL trophy again, its in the blood of the club, having won it 5 times previously. That will be crucial to this journey, the coveted UCL win.

I have set a number of goals for this save and they are listed in order here:
1. Replace many of the aging squad and look the build a team for the future, with the best coaches and youth players at our disposal.
2. Keep on dominating domestically, this is vital, winning the league every year for FC Bayern is a must be.
3. Winning our first UCL title since 2013, this will be the most crucial first step towards becoming a true superpower, lifting the famous old trophy once again.
4. Beating Real Madrids record of 3 straight wins of the UCL. This will be a monumental challenge, and will take a while, but im aiming for this within 10 seasons
5. The Final Goal, becoming the best club side the world has ever seen, dominating on all fronts, winning everything there is to win, breaking all sorts of records, setting barriers that Peps Barcelona would drool at. This is what will make us the true superpower!

Our manager: Our big boss for this save of magnificent proportions will be none other than Philipp Lahm, one of Bayerns greatest ever players, arguably the best RB of all time. He knows Bayern inside out, and having only recently retired, has relationships with many of the players no other manager could have. I will go through Lahm in more detail in the next post

Philipp Lahm in more detail:

Philipp Lahm was born in Gern, Munich, on the 11th of November 1983. He joined the Bayern senior set up in 2002 and continued to play for them up until 2017, only having a short loan spell at VFB Stuttgart during his youth days at Bayern. He played mainly as a right back but was so technically gifted he could play in defensive midfield if called upon. He made over 400 league appearances for the German giants and scored 12 goals over the span of 15+ years of service with Bayern, also becoming their captain for many years and also Germanys captain during the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, with Germany winning in Brazil in 2014, inspired by the captain and his obsession with disclipine.

He has been coveted as possibly the greatest full back of all time along with names such as Cafu, and rightly so. He won everything as a player, and was the prime example of a true professional during his playing career, having rarely been plagued by injury and always setting the example for the rest of the Bayern team, always cool headed, always discliplined, always a leader. This is why Philipp Lahm is the perfect candidate to lead this Bayern team to "Der Kaisers" status and he will surely be respected so much by all of the Bayern players, especially the younger players who will look up to him as a god in German and World football.

I have given him the following attributes, as a disciplinarian, as that's what he was as a player, and as a manager, he will implement his own mentality and playing style over this talented, but aging squad, but we will address the aging issue later on.

IS AGE JUST A NUMBER?
This is the first task that will we set upon on this long, unique journey, the age dilemma. Bayern have an old squad, with many of our key players north or hitting 30, and some will need immediate replacements to come in as backup should they retire very early on our quest for the best, and some who we need to keep an eye on and look to replace within 3-4 seasons with fresh young blood. First, we will tackle the players that need immediate backups to come in, as they are only in decline, and might even retire within the first 1-2 seasons. I will also provide links to youtube so you can see the players play in real life, as something extra, just in case that tickles your fancy. Also any video I link is not owned by me and is the rightful owners content, and I am merely just providing a link to youtube videos for the purpose or entertainment and under The Fair Use Act and Copyright Acts. No links from this site will be shared elsewhere, just links from youtube of the respective players compilations. Enjoy!

ARJEN ROBBEN: AGE 34

Arjen Robben is still an absolute machine in FM19, with 20 dribbling and 19 technique, but he is nearly half way to 40 and will need a backup to come in as a future replacement for him, preferably a young, pacey, left footed inside forward that has a bagful of potential to match, if not surpass Arjen himself. A few candidates come to mind, and with over 109 million Euro plus to spend, we are spoiled for choice here, but I will give you my top 3 candidates https://youtu.be/PowbsCNHGdI

1. LEROY SANE: AGE 22
Leroy Sane, the lightning quick German who is plying his trade with oil rich Manchester City. With 19 pace, 17 acceleration, 17 dribbling, 17 flair, 17 off the ball movement, and a very respectable 16 first touch and 15 finishing, all at only 22, he is an almost must buy in this save, an absolute monster with pace to burn and so much potential, he will probably even surpass Arjen Robben, and I cant imagine him in his prime! Scary stuff https://youtu.be/MXVGutsz0FI

2. LEON BAILEY: AGE 20
Leon Bailey, a quick Jamaican( not uncommon is it) with a left foot from the gods, who has really made a name for himself at pharmaceutical owned club Bayer Leverkusen( who could well be injecting extra pace into his veins, ok enough sarcasm for today), he is a player for the future, an absolute gem. With 18 in both pace and acceleration, 16 dribbling, 17 flair and a modest 13 finishing and first touch, he is already a serious player, and with the world at his feet( literally). He isn't as developed as Sane yet but he is 2 years the younger and is far cheaper, with his value at a "measly" 32 million euros compared to Sanes 67 million, he may be the better option if you want to save money, but the better option overall, maybe not, but a very valid one if we cannot pull in Sane within our transfer budget in season 1.

3.NICOLAS PEPE: AGE 23
Nicolas Pepe, last season you may have never heard of the Ivorian International who represents Lille, has had a Salah esque outbreak season in Ligue 1 with Lille, firing in goals for fun and making defenders look as stiff as John Terry on a friends hen party, he is linked with Manchester United and Bayern in real life and with good reason, he is a sensation. With 18 acceleration and 17 pace,17 dribbling, penalty taking above 16 and 15 off the ball movement and 14 flair, finishing and 13 first touch, he is verging on a world class winger already, and being marginally the oldest out of the 3, he is only worth 22.5 million Euros, so by far the cheapest of the 3. He is very overall in his stats and at 6"0" and quite strong at 12, he will really be a beast on the RW if we decide to purchase the Ivorian. He is a very good player, but doesn't have the flair of Sane or Bailey, but with high strength mixed with crazy pace, he is a real shout on this list to replace Arjen Robben, and a real cheap one when you have over 109 million to spend. But his lack of flair may hinder him in surpassing Robben, and the oldest out of the 3 man shortlist, he wont get as much time to develop, and mentoring wont help much. But if we need to purchase him if we cant afford the other 2, we will pick up the phone and head straight for his signature on a lucrative contract.

Good start mate. Good luck with this!

FRANCK RIBERY: AGE 35
The legendary, at times controversial veteran French left inside forward, in FM19, even at 35, he has stats that are fitting of a world class winger, with 17,dribbling, 18 first touch,19 flair, 16 vision, and 16 balance, he is truly world class, but the former Balon Dor 3 man shortlist maker only has 13 acceleration and 15 pace and a measly 9 strength, not bad for 35, but physically on the decline big time, and at his age, retirement is at the doorstep, possibly within the first season, so he needs a replacement for the future, who?, lets take a look at another three, but this time on the left side.

1.ANTHONY MARTIAL: AGE 22
Martial, a world class winger on his day, with dribbling that can be worth the entry fee alone and a ferocious shot, the Frenchman is truly an insane prospect, and a perfect replacement for Ribery. With 18 acceleration and 17 pace, 19 flair, and 19 dribbling, he is an absolute dynamo if used correctly on that left side. Also don't forget his shooting, with 15 finishing and 16 technique, his renowed finishing abilities will be on show should we coose to cash in in him at his value of 58 million Euros. If we can afford Martial, he will be the prodigal son of Ribery, and can easily surpass Riberys Ability. And with plenty of cash to splash, he will most likely be the signing we make, but we still have 2 left! Strap in!

2.ANTE REBIC: AGE 24
The Croatian World Cup 2018 Starlet, turning himself from a football unknown to a household name overnight with that famous volley over Cabellero and leading his team to a world cup final with a massive contribution with his incredible workrate and skill. With 18 pace and 15 acceleration, 18 workrate, 16 bravery, 18 aggression, 14 dribbling and 14 flair with a decent but not class 12 finishing, he is a very complete winger, in all areas, and being 6"1" and having a big 14 strength, he is like a taller, buffer, more aggressive, Balkan version of Ribery, kind of.....He doesn't have the flair of Ribery and may not surpass him technically, but with his insane mentals and physicals that a CB would a proud of, he is a monster on the left inside forward role. And worth only 21m and already playing in the Bundesliga for Eintract Frankfurt, he would be a very decent replacement to Ribery, but not quite the same type of player, which is a risk, but a risk I would take your hand off with.

3.JADON SANCHO: AGE 18
If you don't know how much of a prospect Sancho is, you have been living under a rock like Patrick Star for the last 18 months. The English TEEN is an absolute phenomenon, linked heavily with Manchester United in real life, and with reason, with 17 acceleration, 15 pace, 16 vision, 16 flair, and 17 dribbling, technique, and 13 finishing with 15 first touch, the Three Lions youngster is a massive prospect, but not quite world class just yet, as he still has a lot of his stats to polish even more, but without doubt has the ability to surpass Ribery, but it will take time, possibly 4-5 seasons until we see a prime Sancho, if not 6-7 seasons, which is why he is 3rd on the list, as this is about immediate backup replacements for Ribery. He will no doubt though be on our radar, and if the other 2 deals fall through, he is top priority to take to Munich.

MANUEL NEUER: AGE 32
The inventer of the " Sweeper Keeper " role, the only GK to come very, very close to winning a Balon Dor in recent decades, Neuer is the epitome of a world class, veteran goalkeeper, an enigma of the position. The brawny 6"4" World Cup winning German is still at the peak of his powers in FM19, with insane stats the Lev Yashin would be proud of, with 20 Rushing out, Throwing, Composure and Anticipation, beyond world class for a sweeper keeper. Also he boasts stats such as 18 Teamwork, 16 Positioning, 18 Determination, 19 GK Kicking, and 17 Command of Area, he is without doubt the most all round GK in FM19, but he wont last forever. At nearly 33 he is past any chance of improving and will only be in decline, but with GKs tending to last longer than outfield players, that might not happen for a couple of seasons, so the 3 candidates to eventually replace the Big German will be young and upcoming, rather than already very established, as Neuer still has another 3-4 seasons of world class service beside the sticks in Munich.

1.THOMAS STRAKOSHA: AGE 23
The massive Albanian has had a massive rise in recent years under the guidance of Lazio. He is a fantastic shot stopper and has a lot of potential. ALOT OF IT. At only 23 he is 9 years Neuers junior and at 6"4", has the same height as Neuer and is a decent young commander of the area with 10, but that will improve greatly as the years go by im sure , and he is also a great shot stopper, with stats such as 18 Reflexes, 15 One on Ones, 16 Handling , and he does dominate in the air with 15 Aerial Reach and 17 Jumping Reach. Strakosha also has insane mentals that look out of place on a 23 year old, really showing the maturity of the player, with 15 Bravery, Decisions, Determination, Positioning and Work Rate. Thomas Strakosha is truly a remarkable young keeper and in my eyes, can possibly even surpass Neuer given the right playing time and training, and valued only at 15 million Euros, hes an absolute steal and must buy for us here down in Munich

2.GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA: AGE 19
The giant 6"5" 19 year old is probably the most experienced teen goalkeeper in world football at this moment in time, and certainly the best, and by a longshot. Sharing a first name with a legendary Italian keeper, greatness is almost destined for Donnarumma, and his stats show this, with 16 Aerial Reach,17 Jumping Reach, 14 Handling, 13 Kicking, and an incredible 17 Reflexes, showing how he is such an incredible shot stopper and will always be there to pick up a cross or loose ball as he also has insane mentals with 15 Bravery, Composure and Determination, whilst also having 17 teamwork. He is worth 21 million Euros, which is an absolute bargain, but is not as complete of a GK as Strakosha, that being the reason he is at 2 on this list. But with sky high potential and an incredible 13 years younger than Neuer, he still has an incredible amount of developing, and should surpass Neuers abilites within the next decade of the save. If Strakosha proves too loyal to Lazio and they ask for an outlandish fee, Donnarumma will 100% be the most wanted man in all of Bavaria.

3.ANDRE ONANA: AGE 22
The 6"4" young Cameroonian International has been Ajaxs number 1 for a few years now, even staring in the Europa League Final against Manchester United in 2017, being barely a legal adult. With bags of potential and a very intimidating presence in goal with his giant frame and bulging muscles, he is truly a future World Class GK, ( and one you wouldn't want to mess with) and boasts stats such as 15 Aerial Reach and 16 Jumping Reach, and 15 reflexes, 14 Throwing and 14 Handling with even a decent 12 Command of Area, he is already on the verge of a World Class GK. He also has insane mentals with 15 Bravery and Composure, 17 Determination and 13 Positioning and Work Rate. He is probably the most well balanced GK on this list, but he doesn't have any stats that jump you out of your seat quite yet, but with training, playing time, and time to develop, being 10 years younger than Neuer, and valued at only 7.5 million, which is an absolute bargain for the young African. If Donnarumma and Strakosha are too expensive and their respective clubs ask for too much, Onana is straight on the private jet from Amsterdam to Munich.
