I've recently downloaded Football Manager 2019 through Microsoft Store as a part of the new Game Pass for PC. I haven't played a Football Manager game since the 2013 version for which I also used Genie Scout and have done until recently. However the Genie Scout 19 does not seem to work with the new Football Manager game. When I try to load a save game through Genie Scout I get the error message saying "Football Manager not found." It also says to check that I have the latest version of FM (which I do) and trying to run Genie Scout in administrator mode, which I am.
I am suspecting the error has to do with how the game is stored on the harddrive, as it's downloaded from Microsoft Store. The Microsoft Store does not seem to store game files the way games are stored when downloaded from i.e. Steam, so maybe Genie Scout isn't able to find the exe-file? FMSE is also reporting that it can't find any copy of Football Manager on my machine.
Whatever the problem is, does a workaround exist? I'd like to be able to use Genie Scout and I doubt I'm the only one with this issue.
