I have just bought a laptop, and logged into Steam on it. The Fm 2011 demo isn't in the list of games, even though it is on my PC. Does anyone know why this is, or does anyone know a way of getting the game in my library for my laptop?
How do you know the demo is on your PC mate? Did you try to copy/paste the folder from steamapps from your previous computer?
I downloaded from the Steam website the FM demo, on my PC. It is in the library of Steam on my PC. I installed Steam on my laptop, and logged in, but when I checked the library it wasn't there.
you probably set steam to only show installed games.
No - I have it on 'All Games' and it doesn't show. The odd thing is, it shows FM 2010 which I downloaed on Steam, yet not FM 2011 demo.
I'm not really following here... you downloaded the demo on your PC, but on your laptop it doesn't show up. Well, should it? I mean, shouldn't you re-download the demo on your laptop again? Or copy the demo folder in steamapps from your PC to your laptop?
Its just that it's weird that I downloaded FM 10 and FM 11 demo in exactly the same way, but only FM 10 has shown up. I will try downloading FM 11 demo again.
i think i know why...
since the demo is free and not a purchase it probably doesn't show up there...

hmmm... I think that could be right. I am downloading it again, so will see how that goes.
shows up the demo in my games library on my pc, shows all demos i have downloaded and all games. Maybe the steam client needs an update or something but it does that automatically on my pc.
demos don't show in your games library when u use steam on another pc where u don't have the demo installed. it's different with the full game.
