Done. Nice catch, mate! :D
Not that there was ever much doubt that this would happen, but after today's game we got the official news.

Our fourth consecutive loss in group play has mathematically eliminated us from qualifying for the next stage. It was yet another spirited loss, however, with Sporting CP only able to edge us 1:0 in front of our home crowd.
Even though we can't advance out of group play, we're still enjoying our run in the Champions Cup. Playing with a sense of freedom now that we literally have nothing to lose, we went on the road against Shakhtar and beat them! If nothing else, we have now proven that we can get a win at this level of competition.

Here's a link to the video replay of what would be the game-winning goal. Luka Lazanski was awarded a questionable penalty and smashes it home.

November marked the end of one dream and the continuation of another.

Our strong play against the league continues as we amassed a 4-1-0 record. This has helped maintain our lead at the top of the table, where we hold a 5 point edge over rivals Maribor. The season is roughly half over and once again we, along with Maribor, are beginning to distance ourselves from the rest of the pack.

Our fourth consecutive loss in group play may have eliminated us from advancing, but we still managed to earn a gritty win against Shakhtar. That win also eliminated Shakhtar and it will be Sporting CP and Arsenal advancing from our group.

Milko Kovac leads us in goals scored at the halfway point, and his strikemate Dejan Bozicic is the second leading scorer. Bozicic is the leading assist man, and Kovac is second. It goes without saying that the tandem are critical to our success thus far.

We continued our dominating league form in December. In fact our only loss during the month was during Champions Cup play. Otherwise we look to be in good form heading into the new year holiday.

We won every league game this month and looked strong doing so, except for one game. Against Primorje we played a very sloppy half and were fortunate to be tied. A second half goal and an own-goal gave us a 3-1 lead but we nearly fell apart during the final minutes. After giving up a goal in the 86th minute we found ourselves holding on for dear life in a game that we didn't deserve to win. Continental hangover, perhaps?

Our perfect record on the month didn't do much in the standings as Maribor continued to play well. We hold a six point edge over them with 13 games remaining.

Group play is in the books, and we have officially exited the Champions Cup. Our 1-0-5 record seems fitting of our maiden voyage into Europe's biggest stage. We found ourselves close in most games and hope to build on this year's success in future campaigns.

Going into the break I'm contemplating making a move or two when the transfer window opens. I'd like another playmaker at midfield somewhere to ease the burden up front. My two strikers have 21 assists combined. The rest of the starting eleven has 28.

I am missing your stories mate. Please return!!!
