personally i would love to see an overhaul of the training options.
one idea would be to play a in-training match and be able to influence/program your players to concider certain moves and passes. for instance if your right winger has the ball and has time you should be able to click onto a player with space and right click a run and left click a pass. so that your not just using the characters a.i. but also moves you want them to follow. because to many times i have had players in space and the game chooses to faff around instead of creating a chance.
this idea can also be used to aid defender overlaps, one centerback covering another, possible flick-on's as well as one two's.
you could also train whole moves to give more movement to your team especially if you offer the chance to make more than one move. you would be able to make a slightly static midfield into a more creative one with out having to buy in stupidly expensive players. for instance. stoke city are very creative for the type of players they have. they rely on height, power one or two nice touches and the odd moment of finesse. though not having anywhere near as much skill and technical abilty of an arsenal or man utd. but with a few moves can compete with the bigger clubs. it would be down more on clever tactics rather than who has messi or rooney. you would have to come up with tactics to tackle everyone.
