Make it realistic and go for Podolski, he plays as my lone frontman in a 4-2-3-1 - played 18, goals 25 in all comps (P11 / G18 in the league).

1st season signed adel hernadez and doumbia they alternated and were class!, doumbia winning player of the year. I also signed young gun keep butland, he ws scezney's deputy. Ended up coming 2nd and quarter finals for champions league. 2nd season just started and signed hazaard and vertonghen and again there amazing
Depends on your tactics, I play 4-2-3-1 with Pacy wingers/inside forwards and Van Persie upfront as complete forward.
I would advise you to buy:
Sime Vrjaisko: Great backup for Sagna as Arsenal do not have any second RB. He covers DM spot also if needed.
Get an attacking midfielder: I went with Erikson and He is class apart. If you are lucky, you might get him for as little as 15m.
Ship out Bendtner, Chamakh and Park, Squaillaci and Mannone. Keep Fabianski for a year. Wont play much and wont do any harm.
Prestia is good and cheap as well as Sanogo, I bought them and then put them in reserves as I did not have spot on my team.
Get Giroud and Podolski, Poldi covers 2 spots and Giroud is great 3rd striker, almnost always scores from Set Pieces.

hey my fm 12 arsenal save stretched 11 seasons , in that time won- 8 pl titles, 5 CL, 7 fa cups, 5 league cups, 4 world club, championships and 7 community sheilds. I had many great players and some not so good ones but my best team over that period was- GK-AKINFEEV RB-SAGNA CB-DEDE CB- CASTIGANO( think the game just developed this guy) LWB-CONTREAO DMC- JAVI MARTINEZ BWM- WILSHERE-AMR-WILLIAN AP-THIAGO- STR- NEYMAR STR-DAMIAO
Damiao broke all records and was just scary! he scored 543 goals in total in 11 seasons and broke every record imaginable. I pretty much stuck with the same players until they were too old and played the same formation 95% of the time! thats the key in all Football manager games, people get too bogged down with tactics when i believe the best way forward is just to repeat repeat repeat the same players and same formation as much as possible unless injury's suspensions or low fitness etc mean the physically cant play. I do this whoever i manage and keep my match preparation always on attacking movement and the team instructions the same as when i first take over all the way till the end. Of course i had other players over the course of time but they were subs mainly - HIGUAIN, RAMSEY, MANDANDA, FIERRO, ROONEY, TEVEZ, RONALDO, DI MARIA, TONI KROOS, DOUMBIA, JAMES RODRIGUEZ and more! Most of these werent purchased at the peak of there powers as ronaldo was signed on a free for instance at 32 and rooney was bought for just 5mil in my 7th season as he was transfer listed! but as good as these players were i never rotated and had just a squad oozing with class.
My best run in the league was an unbeaten run that stretched 127 and 3 undefeated title winning seasons before eventually coming undone at the hands of city at there ground 3-0 my 5th season in i won 37 games drawing 1 with a record points tally of 112 points.
My worst signing was Falcao in my 2nd season, i paid 52 mil for him and he scored 2 goals in 3 months then got injured for the season this was the beginning of what was the most expensive nightmare ever! i signed neymar in my 3rd season as i needed someone with damaio and tried to offload him and his 250k wages he wouldnt budge there he rotted in the reserves for 4 years with his finishing eventually going down to a 8! before moving on a free to bristol city! who were in the championship at the time but ad just been taken over by a tycoon!
