Ibrahim Afellay

Hi all,

Just started a new game with Liverpool. Have always managed in the lower leagues in the past but find myself losing interest after 2 seasons. I support Liverpool so I'm hoping this will keep me interested.

At the start of my game Afellay is very cheap, and as I only have a £2m budget this is essential. He got good dribbling, technique and flair but cant jump or tackle and has the strength of a small girl. But overall his mental attriubtes seem sound. Looks an ideal choice for a winger who can play on both sides (I need a RW) but....why so cheap?

Anyone had a punt on Afellay in their game and it hasn't worked out? Views and opinions please!

P.S. Really wanted to spend it on Carlos Fierro but getting a work permit is impossible

I second that, sign him. You've really nothing to lose, hardly any other ready-made players available for 2M, at the very least, he'll make a reliable backup.

Went for him in the end. So far has been solid, nothing spectacular.
