Hi I have been trying a bunch of different formations and play styles for a specific purpose. To score as many goals from set pieces as possible. Corners, Free Kicks, Penalties and Throw ins.

I dont care about goals in open play, this is a special challenge I'm having fun with, does anyone have any suggestions?
This is just an educated guess, but if you have two wingers, wide and high up the pitch, and one target man. Then set the target man supply to head. Change focus passing to down wings. Drill crosses. Hug Touchline. In real life, I could imagine that leading to many ricochets which quite often will go out for corners. All I can think of right now dude.
On indirect free kicks I always instructs my players to take for the best header.
If I have a central midfielder with low heading and good long shoots I instruct that player to lurking outside of area, looking for a long shoot due a bad clearance or least gain the ball possession to stop a counter attack chance.
On defensive corners I instruct my playmaker to be outside area, because I want him to provide a quality pass to a fast striker to launch a counter attack.
These are the specific instruction I use on set pieces.

Hi mate, from my experience with current & previous edition of the games it's not about the formation but more about the set-piece instruction.

I always set my set-piece like this:
- in set-piece instruction, set corner delivers to "far post" and free kicks to "cross far".
- in player instruction, pick your best header (combination of player's height, jumping, & heading) to "attack far post" when in attacking corner situation, he will be the main threat and scores many from this scenario.
- then set your 2nd best header to "stand on far post" in attacking corner situation, he will be the one who create distraction for opponents so your main header target will left unmarked most of the time.
- still in player instruction, pick one player (i recommend your forward or winger) and set him to "challenge gk", he will score a lot too through sweeping fumble balls from the goalkeeper after saving shoots from your main header.
- finally, pick one player with good long shot & first touch, set him to "lurk outside area" to score from distance through intercepting clearance from defenders.

With this scenario my team usually have the best rating for goals from corners & indirect freekicks. Here I show one highlight to prove this scenario works

All goals were scored from corners & indirect freekicks.

Hope this would help you :)
Thankyou but I am trying to get more of those moments of corners, throw ins, penalties and free kicks, I know how to score in them and will be going through some of your tips for that (Pique for golden boot :)) ) but I would like more of those chances, more free kicks, more corners and throw ins.

I dont want to know how to score with the set pieces I want to know the best ways for getting those free kicks, corners, throw ins and penalties.

Callum has the right idea, I'll try a bit of that.
So far I know best ways to get more set-pieces are by creating more crosses to penalty box (set your fullbacks and wingers to cross often in player instructions), then have players with good dribble but bad strength to run with ball more often and holds up ball to attract defenders commit numerous fouls, & train specific player with good long throw to have "long flat throws" on their preferred move list.

Good luck mate :)
