k1rups : This is what happens when youngsters get distracted by the beauties of the world its a shame :p good work on getting that lead at the top of the table!Very true. It took a LOT of research to find the super model that would fit the story.

Toon : Hopefully the title race is over now!Just a few games to go but it’s looking god.

We needed a win to regain momentum but our starting lineup looked a lot different from what I would have preferred. Players like F Fullana and Muriel M Dorigatti played significant minutes for the first time this season and that was not a recipe for success.
Between injuries and suspensions we didn’t have a single regular starter in the midfield and the defense and attack was also decimated.
In the seven year I had now spent in Mallorca I had still never played a game against the evil empire (aka R.C.D Mallorca). The closest we got to a rivalry was our games against the other team from Palma, CD Atlético Baleares

The game was not pretty but we got away with the three points after late goals by Jorge Prado and Jairo Llorián. The goal from Llorián was one for the history books as it was the first goal ever scored from a player promoted from the C.D. Constància youth academy.
The win guarantied us a place in the playoffs but nobody talked about that as we had our goals set much higher.

Don't worry, when you do get a game against 'The Evil Empire' I'm confident you can win!

We are soooooo close now.

Even with us getting stronger I don’t think R.C.D Mallorca is scared to see us coming in their rear-view mirror. They have actually done relatively well in this save, staying well clear of relegation every season.

Just draw them in the cup or something, then beat them, shock upset

I have tied to get them to play pre-season friendlies but they are always too busy for us.
Now I have waited for so long that I am sure when we finally meet them it will be a huge letdown.

It happened two weeks later while the entire team was sitting in a restaurant in the old town of Alcúdia enjoying a good tapas with excellent Spanish red wine together with family and friends.
On Friday we had made a huge comeback on the road against another playoff contender Hercules C.F. and turned an early 0-2 deficit from the first half to a 3-2 win in the 37th round of the forty-two rounds to be played.
The team traveled home and watched the remaining of the round play out on Saturday and when the results were inn it was a reality. C.D. Constància had won promotion to the best Spanish league, LIGA BBVA.
Seven years after I took over a team just promoted to the Second Division B3, a team heavily expected to be relegated back down to the lower local leagues, we were now ready to move up and play football with the big boys in LIGA BBVA.
The week after we made another comeback win on the road, this time against the worst team in the league A.D. Alcorcon and secured not just the promotion but also the LIGA adelante title. It was the biggest trophy the club had ever won and the fans and players celebrated the entire night.

When the season ended a few weeks later I looked back on a fantastic season with just two regrets. I saw now in hindsight that it was a mistake not to priorities the Spanish Cup more than I did that year. With the dominance we had in the regular season I could have afforded to go more aggressive after those games and had a chance for another cash-inn like the year before against Barcelona.

I would also have loved to win the last game of the season against Celta de Vigo, S.A.D. We did set a new record for single season points in the LIGA adelante but I would have loved to reach 100 points in a season. With Celta playing at home for direct promotion and us missing four of five starters in the defends due to international call-ups we were chanceless.
