Don't break Arsenal's hearts please

Press Conference

football365: So, you sit here today- unveiled as the new manager of Manchester United. As a former player of the club, it must feel strange?
Cantona: No, it is not strange. Manchester United is like a home away from home for me, and the fans are like a family for me. I feel honoured to be given this chance, as a player, as a fan, and as Cantona- myself.

bbcSport: You will be following in the footsteps of your own former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. After beating off experienced names like Solsjkaer and Blanc to the job, do you think you have what it takes?
Cantona: There is a great History at this club of winning, and a culture of winning. I am here to bring United back into world domination. Ferguson is the greatest manager to manage the club, no doubt for me. I want to create a situation that when I go, you will doubt it. If a bird does not believe it can fly, it will not jump from the nest.

Arvind: Will you be karate-kicking any fans?
Cantona: That is silly question. Of course my legs are gone, so I will karate chop them instead if they cannot get behind the team.

skySports: What will happen with New York Cosmos then?
Cantona: I have many friends working with me on that project for a long time already, and I will stay in touch. My priority lies here now, but that project will continue. Competition is healthy for football. One more obstacle to climb makes us all better teams.

theGuardian: By now you will have surveyed the squad to see any weaknesses and strengths. Is there any chance of you letting us know?
Cantona: Does a magician reveal his secrets before the show is out?

Justice: If you buy seven oranges for 49p and then sell eighteen apples for 88p, how many bananas will you have left?
Cantona: Only one banana for the monkey that wrote this joke. That's all he deserves.
:)) Fantastic press conference.

brilliant layout and setup to the story and a very unique press conference

Kane: Why have you come here to wreck the side. David Moyes is the only man for Manchester United. Why are you doing this to the club?
@BaggieJames: It would! ;)

@Rablador: I know right! Would be mercurial :P

@KingPadster: A small price to pay for world domination :)

@Glenn T: Thanks! :D

@Hammer Man: Cheers, I was hoping it would go down well. :)

@Kane:

Cantona: Where I come from, we call people like you 'crétin'. I do not deal with crétin, their own foolishness does that for me.

Nani seals big Spurs switch

http://e2.365dm.com/12/10/660x350/Nani-celeb-Chelsea-v-Manchester-United-Capita_2853864.jpg

A deal has reportedly confirmed that takes Portugal Winger, Nani, from Manchester United to Totenham Hotspur on a 4 year contract worth a princely £100,000 a week. The talented wide-man is assumedly set to cost Spurs a staggering £28 million, which wil eclipse Darren Bent as their most expensive signing ever.

The predominantly right-footed trickster signed for Manchester United in July 2007 for a fee of €25 million, but has failed to live up to his potential in the time following. In his time many comparisons were drawn to the Red Devils sweetheart, Cristiano Ronaldo- who moved onto Real Madrid on the back of becoming World Player of the Year. Luis Nani's strengths have always been considered to be his pace and trickery on the ball, as well as keen technical ability in finishing and delivery. Also noted for his venomous shots from range, he has fallen out of favour with the United supporters after struggling to gain consistent form. The fans are reportedly pleased that so much money was gained from him.

Nani will be recieved with mixed reactions at Tottenham, mostly because he cost so much for a player who could give so little on a poor showing. There is little doubt that if he sheds his indecisiveness on the pitch, he can become a top player and more importantly fill that right-midfield berth with excitement. No doubt that Villas-Boas had his mouth watering at the prospect of Bale and Nani performing on either flank.

I like how the two guys above never mentioned lovely Gemma Atkinson ;)

EDIT: I just looked closely at Rab's comment :))
Nice story mate, very exciting, keep it up!
Excellent price for Nani, plenty of funds to reinvest in the team.
LMAO @ the spoiler for Gemma Atkinson!
You should've tried to do a Nani + money swap deal for Bale, even though i'd hate it if Bale left to United :(

Yet another incentive to read your stories ... GEMMA!!! :D Spurs could have a mean attacking trio if they decided to play Lennon & Nani either wings with Bale in the middle behind the striker
